bulk uploads, custom messages & other stuff

I am currently using DotNetNuke & a custom shopping cart solution for a customer & am thinking about jumping ship & using Joomla & Zen cart for them & for new clients. I have looked all throught the forums & it seems that Zencart has everything I need, but I have some questions that I couldn't find answers to - I wonder of anyone can help...

• is there any way to 'bulk upload' products to Zen Cart? - I have a store with approx 200 products - MSSQL on the back end - if I want to upload them all to Zen Cart, is there an easy/relatively easy way to do it?

• is there a way to change the text in Zen cart that says "add a custom message for your order" to say "send a message along with your gift"?

• shipping - can I set up shipping by USPS, fed-ex overnight & also a local flat rate for hand delivery within 5 mile radius?

• shipping - can it be set up so customers can choose the shipping date?

• product type - is there an option to sell downloads? I have a client who wants to sell video downloads & also audio copies of her readio show.

1. There's a mod in Downloads called Easy Populate that can load products to Zencart from a .csv file. You'd have to output from the current DB to the correct fields, etc.

2. You can search for text in Admin - Tools - Developers Tool Kit to find where stuff is defined, and edit the file.

3. I think you can do that using shipping zones. USPS and Flat rate are built-in, FedEx is a mod.

4. No, and I haven't seen a mod that does that, but search the forum for "shipping date" to be sure. I think I've seen the same question asked in the past.
