E-mails sent from our Zen Cart end up in OUR inbox

Hello Everyone,

I tried searching through threads but I didn't find anything exactly like my situation.

Zen Cart has worked fine for our company for a long time now but over the weekend something went wrong. To our knowledge no one changed any of the settings. Whenever an order is made the confirmation emails and update emails are supposed to be sent to the customer but since Monday instead they have all been going to **our **default email address.

We contacted our hosting company and they offered some suggestions but nothing worked. The way we've been testing the email functionality since it has gone down is by requesting a forgotten password email from our website. The hosting company support team had us change a few settings (changing settings to SMTP, ports, etc) and when configured accordingly and requesting a forgotten password email, the email would not even send and the site would give the message:

"Email Error: SMTP Error: The following recipients failed: [email protected]"

So when we change it back to PHP, the emails will send but still end up in our mailbox instead of the customers..

Our hosting company has yet to respond since yesterday when they requested more time for a supervisor to review the situation.

We appreciate any help you can offer as this is an urgent matter and hope we can find a resolution. Thanks in advance!

Re: E-mails sent from our Zen Cart end up in OUR inbox

If it worked before and it isn't working now, the hosting broke or changed something on your mail server. Sorry, but not much we can do.

Please do not PM for support issues: a private solution doesn't benefit the community.

Be careful with unsolicited advice via email or PM - Make sure the person you are talking to is a reliable source.
