Products always staying in NEW category

All of my items are always staying in the new category, how do I get this corrected? I show 300 items as new all of the time, when I only have 10 new items...

Have you defined the date time period of what is a "New Product" in the Configuration ... Maximum Values ...

New Product Listing - Limited to ...
Limit the New Product Listing to
0= All Products
1= Current Month
7= 7 Days
14= 14 Days
30= 30 Days
60= 60 Days
90= 90 Days
120= 120 Days

Sometimes a feature such as the New Products needs to have the definition defined, such as what is a New Product or what date range constitutes the New Products from all of the other products ...

Often, you will find the feature is built into Zen Cart without the need for touching code and configuration is the key to the solution ...
