Organizing products

Hi,
I hope someone can help me :)
I have a category called Women, and I have been uploading products but the order is not what I want. I want all long sleeve shirts together, then short sleeve and so on........does anyboyd knows how I can change the order of my product??

Create category, then create sub categories for that category,
for your requirements.

Well I've already did it the point is that what if I don't want the red tshirt at the begining and want it at the end or want the blue ones together or something like that. How can I rearrange the order?

Have you tried applying a Product Sort Order to each product?

Then setup the Product Listing to use the Product Sort Order as its default display ...

Can you walk me through this please?

Edit the Product via the Catalog ... Categories/Products ...

Find the Product, click the E for EDIT ...

Go down to the Product Sort Order ...

I number Sort Orders by 10s, example: 10, 20, 30 ... so that I can insert things later ...

Find next Product, and repeat ...

On the Configuration ... Product Listing ... set the Sort Order for the Product Listing to by Product Sort Order:

Display Product Listing Default Sort Order
Product Listing Default sort order?
NOTE: Leave Blank for Product Sort Order. Sort the Product Listing in the order you wish for the default display to start in to get the sort order setting. Example: 2a

and now the initial display of a Category will use the assigned Sort Order for your Products ... :smile:

ok, i was able to get my items to display in the correct order.. HOWEVER, when i am viewing a specific item then use the NEXT button, the items are out of order. how do i address that?

The Product Info has its own Sort Order in the Configuration ... Product Info ...

Previous Next - Sort Order
Products Display Order by
0= Product ID
1= Product Name
2= Model
3= Price, Product Name
4= Price, Model
5= Product Name, Model
6= Product Sort Order
Product ID Name Product Model Product Price - Name Product Price - Model Product Name - Model Product Sort Order
