Help Remove line breaks! <br> tags

Hey All,

I consider myself to have somewhat advanced knowledge of Zen Cart but for some reason I cannot solve this problem.

There a certain places in the code where line breaks appear. <br> tags NOT <br /> which I find really peculiar because I always use XHTML so I figure the software must be generating them.

I can't find them anywhere in the template files and I tried using the developers tools kit and I can't find the problem there either.

The page I am talking about specifically is the product listing page when using the column display. Each element (i.e. product title, price, model number) has a <br> tag when I view the HTML source. What makes less sense is that the page still validates as XHTML.

Nevermind, I found it

If anyone else has this problem its in the includes/modules/product_listing.php

where it says

 if (PRODUCT_LISTING_LAYOUT_STYLE == 'columns') {
      $lc_text = implode('<br/>', $product_contents);

apparently that does it.

If you're using the current version of Zen Cart, all catalog BR tags are self-terminated if you're using the core Zen Cart code exclusively. Non-terminated BR tags would be a result of customized code or addons.

That said, going to the URL you mention doesn't show me any <br> tags that are not self-terminated.

The Addon for the Columnar Display uses line breaks for it's display rather than putting each element in an unordered list.
