How to Insert/modify image in editing page

Hi.
I am just trying to insert an image into a page via the editing file box
I believe I need FTP, which I have "cutie" but do not know how to link the FTP to the insert image URL. Does anyone know how to find the host address or any other info I may need to get the pics into the image URL box?
