Auctionblox? what do your thought and impressions?

I am looking at adding the Auctionblox service to my ZenCart. I'd like some input from those that are using it.

it sounds like a great product, but I want some impressions from those that are using it, oppose to the ones that are selling it.

all input is appreciated, good or bad.

I've been using Auctionblox for the past few months and have been overall pleased with the result. It is the only reliable service I have found short of using prostores, and Auctionblox is actually more reliable and versatile than prostores was for checkout redirect.

The support team is excellent in responding to needs and I think the company truly wants to gain zen cart users so they are quite responsive to needs specific to zen cart.

The listing portion of the software still needs some work but once you learn to work around some of the minor issues it's really not that big of a deal.

Overall I would definitely recommend giving them a try. As a side note, I use attributes as I am an engraver and for a fee they wrote a script to allow my ebay sales to gather the attribute information during checkout. This was a very important feature to me and they were able to accomplish it in a minimal amount of time.

I'd also like to note that I talked with Auctionblox today and they were very helpful and answered all of my question in a polite and and open manner. So far their customer service seems top notch.

Sure, but first understand that you can edit what you list. You create "items" from your inventory to post of ebay, but you can edit the item which I do, rather heavily. I have specific template I created for ebay and I pull the information from my store into the template which suits 90% of my needs for the listing. But I do still have to edit them as far as shipping options, sometimes description (ebay people need more specifics that web order people:))

I noticed that you have a picture showing up in the Description porton of the auction... when I insert the {PRODUCTS_IMAGE} macro it just shows the address of the photo and not the image itself. I want to set this up in a template so I can use the generator to create the listings and pull the images.

any ideas on how to display multiple images in the description? I'd like to display at least 2 in there without having to pay the additional fee for adding the gallery.

I've tested out the gallery portion and I can't even figure out how to add the additional images that are in my store.

Basically, you have to use the img src tag in conjunction with the macro. (e.g. ```
<img src="{THEMACRO}" ...

We need some better macros for you non-programmers.  :) We'll add some custom macros for Zen Cart that will insert your images into the description.

BTW, the gallery image is free on eBay.  Just use the products image macro (since you don't need the img src tag in this field). Yes, the intent is to put all your additional images in the description to avoid paying eBay for additional photo hosting.

I know that the first image if free,  like you said I'm after placing my additional images in the description.   I can't eat any more fees from ebay on this becuse when you sell some items that are only $4 and you have to pay half in fees,  I won't make anything. :cry:

I'll mess with it some more, but I'm very limited on programing and would be very happy if there were macros to make it easier on some of us.

I've tried the code above, but I can't get it to work.

when I do the preview it just shows the address of the picture and not the picture.

would it display any different in ebay than it would in the preview?
