Are my images and flash showing?

Wasn't quite sure where to post this, or how to search for it, and I'm pretty sure it's gonna be a short thread, so hear goes.

Someone was kind enough to PM me and let me know they could not see any of my images or my flash header.

Would anyone else mind taking a look at my site (see sig below) and let me know if my images are showing or not?

I can see them fine in IE7, FF, and Safari. My new friend says > Now that I look more closely I'm not seeing any of your images. And I just checked using 4 different browsers (all in Mac OS X, but that shouldn't matter.) Just a sec, I'll start up Win XP in a window on my Mac ... ...

Nope, no Flash header and no images in IE7 or FF in Win XP either..

We are both interested to find out what is going on, if there is in fact a problem with my site, or if it is his computer or something to that effect.

I dunno what his connection speed is. Forgot to ask.

I know the page has gotten a little on the weighty side. I've tried to optimize the images as best as I can without loosing quality, or making them grainy.

I'm working on a whole new site design that I hope will take care of all of that soon (pure css) if I can ever get my noggin around it. Learing CSS ain't all that easy.

Hi Kim, it's me, the friend.

My connection is cable, so it's plenty fast enough. I've never seen this before; it's most peculiar. None of the images are showing up on that site (no matter how long I wait) and the Flash header is also missing. Just a few minutes ago I tried another site that I knew had Flash running and it was fine. And of course I see images all the time.

Is it possible there is some sort of oddity in the server setup which could cause this? But why all four of my Mac OS X browsers, and the two I tried in Win XP?

I put up the error console from the Web Developer Tools (in Firefox) and it reported a couple of style warnings and one error "SWFObject is not defined".

I think we need some more testers. :blink:

I know it can't be my .htaccess files as I've temporarily deleted them, for other reasons (in case that was on anyones mind).

It must have been a bug in Firefox in Mac OS X. I recently upgraded to FF 3.0.3 and now the flash is working and the images show.
