Multiple Items at once on Zen Cart

I have a excel spreadsheet file .xls with about 1500 products in it, and the company that gave it to me, said you input it inside your shopping cart and it should automatically put all the products up and in their own categories...

Well, All I know about Zen Cart is to put it up one by one.. Really toilsome work.. Anyone can help me pout this up, or ask him or another type of file, or change this file to insert it and make it work?

If someone knows this problem, please i really want to get my site up and running 100%.

Well I installed easy populate, and where it says upload EP file.. I do that, I import from temp, nothing happens. What do I got to do for th is to accept my excel file to input products? Seems the install went right. My friend verified it, and said yeah its all good.. It just wont work..

Did you read instructions contained in EP zip file.?
You have to create sample file, via admin, after installing
EP..then adapt your file to suit that EP file..
Open Office is better to adapt than Excel.

I did this yesterday when faced with the same choice as yourself.

I was dreading it and gave myself 3 days to learn how to do it.

The good news is its not nearly as difficult as first looks.

Read the Wiki on Easy populate.

All you need to do is asign the correct headings to the data columns that have been supplied to you.

Eg v_products_description_1. Headings MUST be exactly correct.

You will find a list in the Wiki, just follow this very closely.

Note, even if you already have your products file stored in the correct folder of Zencart, you still need to go to easy populate in admin and Upload changes through the panel.
