ezpages toc sidebox vs multilingual

Hi

I'm new to this, for about a week or so... just getting to grips with things etc. I wanted to use ezpages_toc_sidebox with the ezpages multilingual addon... and made a change in the ez_pages_toc.php of the ezpages_toc_sidebox addon. Commented out the following line and replaced it with whats below. It seems to work, however I didn't know how to check which of the select should be performed, if the multi lingual module is plugged in ? Can anyone help me with this ?
