warning: contains unauthenticated content

I have a crossed lock in firefox when I test the checkout for paypal express, with "warning: contains unauthenticated content". It occurs on the first page when I enter paypal.

Does this mean I require dedicated ssl on my catalog?

I am currently using shared ssl.

Re: warning: contains unauthenticated content

sulis.instanthosting.com.au uses an invalid security certificate.

The certificate is not trusted because it is self signed.

Re: warning: contains unauthenticated content

Thank you kindly Merlin.

Do you think the way forward is for me to setup dedicated SSL?

Re: warning: contains unauthenticated content

or get your host to use a real cert not a self signed...

Does the host offer dedicated IP address?

Re: warning: contains unauthenticated content

I'm not sure Merlin, I'll have to check.

I just turned off shared ssl on the catalog. The problem with the crossed lock has gone away now in both IE and Firefox. PayPal is giving a secure site lock now. Considering I am using PayPal Express only do you think this is an OK way to leave things? or should I pursue it further.

Re: warning: contains unauthenticated content

well since I know how express works,
I would suggest using ssl, however if you are comfortable with a customer being able to login and view personal details in a non secure enviornment then that is totally up to you..

ssl is not required
