Real Feedback About Hosts, PLEASE

iPower was great for years, then they destroyed my database the week before Christmas, and it took me 6 days to get through to support.

Bluehost works well enough, except with downloadable products. My files keep getting corrupted, and Bluehost support does not seem to know why. Same exact store worked fine on iPower, until the Christmas incident.

Now, I'm considering LunarPages or HostMonster, maybe HostGator.

Any feedback would be very much appreciated, preferably from zenners.

And each one you are considering is also a "Msss Marketed" provider, promising many things and usually delivering on none for an eCommerce user:

Use common sense -

Lunar
Shared Hosting = Unlimited Storage
Dedicated Hosting = 80 to 250 Gigs Storage

HostGator
Shared Hosting = Unlimited Storage
Dedicated Hosting = 80 to 250 Gigs Storage

I'd agree with kobra - mass marketed hosting companies don't seem to be the best option. Personally, I'd stay away from any hosing company which has an 'affiliate' program, too.
