Removing "What's New" from empty cart page...

Hi all,

This is a simple one I bet but I looked everywhere in the admin as well as searched every forum on this site.

My Question:

Right now when a user goes to one of my shopping cart homepages and if it is empty, be default ZC displays the "Whats New" module. How can I remove or turn it off. I simply want it to say "Your cart is empty" with NO products below that.

I am not sure if it is a termonology issue or what but I can't seem to figure this one out even after quite a bit of research.

Admittedly, that switch is in an odd place: Admin->Configuration->Stock

Didn't seem like an odd place when I put it there ... :blush:

Just seemed more sensible than the Index Listing since the Shopping Cart had nothing to do with it ... or ... I could of stuck it in the ... :lamo:

From a 'logical order' point-of-view, more people would be comfortable with a Configuration section for the Checkout Process itself, similar to the Configuration section for "Index Listing". It could state what to show, not only on an empty Shopping Cart page but also for Page 1, 2, 3, etc. of the Checkout process.

Mind you, it could be argued that the Shopping Cart page empty or otherwise, is not part of the Checkout Process. Decision would be required on how the general public would categorize that.

Just a thought. :smile:

Thanks for the thought - we'll take in to consideration when the Admin gets rebuilt.
