can not check out

While trying to check out I keep getting this error message:

( 2006 MySQL server has gone away
in:
[select customers_email_format from customers where customers_email_address= '[email protected]']

in
[select count(*) as total from sessions where sesskey = '8de4963043c109fdfbbe9793ae97c6ad'] )

Can someone tell me what this means and how to fix this.

your connection to mysql is timed out... probably because of your slow server you are using..

I thought up one solution for you, but I don't like it...
In my.cnf (MySQL Config file), if you'll set:

[mysqld]
wait_timeout = 86400
interactive_timeout = 86400

This should temporary fix things giving you 24 hours of inactivity, do that thing, and then disconnect. Most people usually set these values to 100 !!!
