Hello all I have been trying to test my online store in the sandbox account and I keep getting this error message.

<Error Message>(This transcation is invalid. Please return to the recipient's website to complete your transaction using the regular checkout flow.)

If someone could please tell me what I am doing wrong I would greatly appreciate it... Thanks:smile:

I am still having this problem I am not sure what is going on where do I find this checkout flow chart it is talking about..:lookaroun

I'm having the same problem. Test Account works when I make a fake purchase using credit card but when I try to use PayPal I get the "This transaction is invalid. Please return to the recipient's website to complete your transaction using their regular checkout flow." message.

Anyone got any ideas?

make sure that curl is enabled.

turn on Debug Logging to see what the system says.

Make sure you are not getting your credentials from your sandbox account.

Do I check curl is enabled with curltest.php? When i access that page from my browser I get the message - data validation: Good. Does that mean curl is enabled?

You can't use credentials from your live account in sandbox mode.
If you're using live account credentials, use live mode.
If you're using sandbox mode, you'll need to generate sandbox accounts and credentials, and use those instead.

Thanks for the replies.

I generated credentials in my sandbox account.

I can now get the payment system to work with a credit card payment, but when I try a payment with Paypal I still get the "This transaction is invalid" message and am told to return to merchant.

What are the debug log details showing?

You will likely be better off asking PayPal directly ... since they are the ones who are rejecting the transaction

err, didn't think of asking paypal for some reason lol. will give them a try, see if they can sort it out.
