Place GB flag in header of site.

Can someone give me some suggestions, how best to place a GB flag somewhere in the header of my site.

Re: Place GB flag in header of site.

Do you want it to do anything or just be there?

Please do not PM for support issues: a private solution doesn't benefit the community.

Be careful with unsolicited advice via email or PM - Make sure the person you are talking to is a reliable source.

Re: Place GB flag in header of site.

I did something like that once.. try this:

add to your css-file (includes/templates/YOURTEMPLATE/stylesheet.css)

#britishflag {
    position: relative;
    left: 285px;
    top: 110px;
    }

and find this in tpl_header (includes\templates\YOURTEMPLATE\common\tpl_header.php)

<!--bof-branding display-->
<div id="logoWrapper">
    <div id="logo"><?php echo '<a href="' . HTTP_SERVER . DIR_WS_CATALOG . '">' . zen_image($template->get_template_dir(HEADER_LOGO_IMAGE, DIR_WS_TEMPLATE, $current_page_base,'images'). '/' . HEADER_LOGO_IMAGE, HEADER_ALT_TEXT) . '</a>'; ?></div>

and add under this:```

<div id="britishflag"><a href="http://www.british.co.uk" target="_blank"><img src="[URL]http://www.british.co.uk/images/flag.gif[/URL]" ></a></div> ```

tweak a little to get it in place

PS this might be a "dirty"solution.. I don't know, but it worked for me :P

good luck!

Re: Place GB flag in header of site.

I've tried the above code to get 2 logo's in my header but it doesn't work.

So I tried this instead, here is the original logo code:

<div id="logo"><?php echo '<a href="' . HTTP_SERVER . DIR_WS_CATALOG . '">' . zen_image($template->get_template_dir(HEADER_LOGO_IMAGE, DIR_WS_TEMPLATE, $current_page_base,'images'). '/' . HEADER_LOGO_IMAGE, HEADER_ALT_TEXT) . '</a>'; ?>

and here is my logo_right code:

<id="logoright"><?php echo '<a href="' . HTTP_SERVER . DIR_WS_CATALOG . '">' . zen_image($template->get_template_dir(HEADER_LOGO_IMAGE_RIGHT, DIR_WS_TEMPLATE, $current_page_base,'images'). '/' . HEADER_LOGO_IMAGE_RIGHT, HEADER_ALT_TEXT) . '</a>'; ?></div>

This logo_right code works apart from the css <id="logoright"> as I aligned it right but it just sits snug upto logo.gif.

I'm also trying to get a middle_filler which adjusts to the size of the users screen - just like the ezpages bare adjusts to the size of the screen and the search_header adjust to size of screen. Has anyone got any ideas on how to do this? My eyes are too sore from trying to figure it out!:(

Thank you
Suekay

Re: Place GB flag in header of site.

3 logos in header - figured it out! It is now 2 logos and a background - here is what I did:

In templates/cherry_zen/common/tpl_header.php add this

<div id="logo"><?php echo '<a href="' . HTTP_SERVER . DIR_WS_CATALOG . '">' . zen_image($template->get_template_dir(HEADER_LOGO_IMAGE, DIR_WS_TEMPLATE, $current_page_base,'images'). '/' . HEADER_LOGO_IMAGE, HEADER_ALT_TEXT) . '</a>'; ?></div> <div id="logoright"><?php echo '<a href="' . HTTP_SERVER . DIR_WS_CATALOG . '">' . zen_image($template->get_template_dir(HEADER_LOGO_IMAGE_RIGHT, DIR_WS_TEMPLATE, $current_page_base,'images'). '/' . HEADER_LOGO_IMAGE_RIGHT, HEADER_ALT_TEXT) . '</a>'; ?></div>

Then in stylesheet I added:

#logoWrapper {
width:auto;
background:url("../images/middlefiller.gif");}

#logoright{
float:right;
}

Hope that helps anyone else who needs to do it
