Trying to change the Default Category for a given product.

The product found in the link below, you will notice belongs to the 16pt business card category and the glossy business card category. I set the master category to the glossy business card category, but it still say it is in the 16pt category when I click on the product...

http://www.godlikeprinting.com/printshop/16pt-glossy-business-cards-uv-on-both-sides-p-3.html

How can I turn the 16pt business card category to say glossy business cards?

Weird - I've never seen this behavior before.
This might have something to do with the SEO mod you have installed.

I suspect you use Ultimate SEO url

What you need to do is: you need to reset cache folder.

I no longer provide installation support on forum for all my modules. However, if there are real bugs with the modules please feel free to contact me

Hmm, when I switch off SEO the category says "Glossy Business Cards"... when I switch it back on it goes back to "16pt Business Cards".

Re: Trying to change the Default Category for a given product.

Hi,
I also had this problem occurring and just tried your method of turning on the Add cPath to product URLs and it is now working properly "thanks for the tip". I was wondering if anybody knew of any consequences as far as google rank and seo are concerned. If the product is adding extra category path to the url? wouldn't this be creating duplicate url's?

I would appreciate any comment on this matter. and thank you illum for your solution.
