Is it possible to add a drop down option to every product at once?

I am trying to let the admin add a drop down to every product in the site. I sthere an easy way of doing that.
I have added a n option name and values in the admin but I can't get the option to appear on every page???
Very new to this.

My last post may not have been clear.
I need every product to have a drop down box with sales reps names in it.
This could be added to the check out page I think so maybe it isn't for the attributes.
Someone please point me in the right direction.

sorry, I do not have the answer to your question, but would like to know how to add a drop down option for a product.

Say an item with an option of color - red/blue/green.

now I too would like to know who to add the total drop downs to other items

If your drop down menu is the same for every product you can go to your admin section and go to catalog / Attributes Controller
in this section there should be a option that says copy to catagory this option will allow you to put your drop down menu on all the products in that catagory.. note if you have different menus for each catagory you will have to make a default menu for each catagory. then select witch menu you made in the attributes edit area and copy to the right catagory / all products in that catagory. hope this helps
