Moving to Virtual Dedicated

I'm in the process of moving from a GoDaddy Shared hosting account to a virtual dedicated hosting account with them. Both installs will be on a linux machine. I'm currently running Zen Cart 1.3.7.x. Now that I've moved over to the new hosting account, I seem to be having problems authorizing charge cards via authorize.net. With the shared hosting, I had a curl proxy set in the admin interface, but i'm not sure if i still need that with the vritual dedicated server. I'm getting a communication error when testing a transaction. I've run the curltest.php file and it is showing that everything is working there ok. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Bryan

Re: Moving to Virtual Dedicated

With their virtual dedicated hosting, you are left to be a Linux guru as they just provide the platform and it is up to you to configure it.

They might have some Knowledgebase assistance??

You need to compile your php with curl to have it functional.

Why have you moved to virtual dedicated hosting??

Re: Moving to Virtual Dedicated

Virtual Dedicated is the same as running your own Dedicated server, except for the size of CPU resources, webspace and bandwidth.

Which, as Kobra has already mentioned, means that you become the Server Administrator. If you are not a skilled server administrator then you should not be going down this road.
