Orders are NOT Showing in Admin

Hi,

I received a Notification of instant payment from a New Order. When I logged into my Admin the Customer was listed as a New Customer however the order did not show up. I set up a TEST purchase for a Friend to buy so I could try to figure out what was going on. Same thing notification of payment received but no Order. She said that when making payment she had to click on "if not redirected in 10 seconds click here" is that what makes the order complete? Would having 2 Zen Carts with separate PayPal accts create a problem? Can someone explain why and how to resolve the problem?

Thank You!

Do you have the automatic return enabled?

I'm not sure to be honest. Where do I find that? Everything was working fine until today, however it has been a month since I've sold anything. Thanks for your help!

i was having a similar problem to your self (see here )
i contacted my webhosts and below was there answer, i don't know if yours is the same problem as i am having ,but i am new to all this zencart and thought it may help you.

Hello,

Thank you for contacting our Support Help Desk.

As you probably know your account is hosted on a shared hosting server which means that all resourced of the server are shared between the customers located on the server. In order to prevent one`s website affecting other customers by using a large amount of the resources a certain limitations are applied such as max query time and max query size.

The error message provided above means that your application is trying to execute too big or too long mysql query which can not be completed on the server and require more resources.

Unfortunately, the limitations explained above can not be modified per user bases due to the fact that they are globally applied. If you really need to use this function you may consider to optimize/reduce the size of your mysql database.

On the other hand, you may consider a VPS upgrade for your hosting where your account will be the only one located on the server and your application will be able to take advantage of all the resources of the server. You may revise our vps offers at:

http://siteground.com/vps.htm

Be advised that as an existing customer the setup fee will be waived for you and your account will be transfered to your new server free of charge.

Please, do not hesitate to contact us if you have any further questions or comments.

Kind Regards,

George Y.

Re: Orders are NOT Showing in Admin

I have the same problem and have spent countless hours on the phone with Godaddy support. According to them they made a change on their server and did not tell anyone. They told me that the only way to fox this was to get a code designer to rewrite my zen cart to work with their Proxy and Curl setup. Hope this helps.

WOW! Thanks for the replies! I do have GoDaddy as my Server I wonder why I'm not having a problem with my other site? I'll have to look into it.

What did you end up doing? Find a programmer or ditch the Zen Cart?

Re: Orders are NOT Showing in Admin

Hello,
I'm Busy Bees "Friend" from her first post.

We/I have several other Zen Carts running on GoDaddy hosting which all function just fine. Many of our Zen Carts are also running on domains on alias and are working fine.

The only one having a problem is the Zen Cart that was actually installed BY GoDaddy.
GoDaddy had many "Free Products" that GoDaddy installs for you automatically with a click of the mouse.

We have had problems with Curl timing out in the past on things like uploading bulk to Google Base. There is nothing that can be done because it is a shared server. However we have found very simple work arounds for these problems.

I don't think Curl and Proxy is the problem or we'd have the same problem on all the sites. One site was just installed last week and just took an order.

Re: Orders are NOT Showing in Admin

I spoke with GoDaddy today and I was told that my orders are being sent to my site's email inbox and that everything was working correctly. I've received 2 orders in 2 days and I can not access them. Now when I click on my sites the text is enlarged. I installed a banner for Repatoo over the weekend in one of my Zen's do you think that might have had a virus in it? I've deleted the banner, did a virus scan, cleaned up my disk space and rebooted my pc. Still nothing has changed. I'm considering a site restore, what do you think?

Thank you.
