site is not showing up at all - please help!

Hi All -
I wanted to change the Copyright message in the footer but something went south because the site is not showing up and instead it gives an error message "Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_CLASS in /home/alma/public_html/includes/languages/english.php on line 16"

I followed a tutorial "How do I change the Copyright mesage in the footer?" but the text on the tutorial did not exactly match the language in my english.phs file. I changed it to this:

define('FOOTER_TEXT_BODY', 'latino t-shirts, latin tees, playeras latinas, cool t-shirts, latin clothing' <a class="lightLink" href="http://www.latinimpressions.com" target="_blank">Zen Cart</a>. Powered by <a class="lightLink" href="http://www.zen-cart.com" target="_blank">Zen Cart</a>');

I possibly removed something pretty important in the process but don't have the original text to put it back in.

Could you please explain the problem you found and how you fixed it becuase I am having the same issue. I am in panic mode. Your answer might help others in the same situation.

I would hazard a guess that it was the ' after latin clothing in the original poster's code that was not escaped that was the culprit, or part of at least:

define('FOOTER_TEXT_BODY', 'latino t-shirts, latin tees, playeras latinas, cool t-shirts, latin clothing' <a class="lightLink" href="http://www.latinimpressions.com" target="_blank">Zen Cart</a>. Powered by <a class="lightLink" href="http://www.zen-cart.com" target="_blank">Zen Cart</a>');
```If you need to use them, you need to escape them with a backslash....for example: 

define('FOOTER_TEXT_BODY', 'latino t-shirts, latin tees, playeras latinas, cool t-shirts, latin clothing' <a class="lightLink" href="http://www.latinimpressions.com" target="_blank">Zen Cart</a>. Powered by <a class="lightLink" href="http://www.zen-cart.com" target="_blank">Zen Cart</a>');
