Paypal Website Payment Standard, skip first step

Hi, i have set up website payments standard, and when i click confirm my order on the zen cart shopping cart it takes me to paypal.. as expected, but the page has the paypal login and a link that says Use your credit card or bank account (where available). Continue

When i click continue it takes me to the page im familiar with and has the credit card fields. How do i set it up so that when the user confirms the order and is sent to paypal, it automatically shows the page with the credit card fields, sort of like bypassing the first step.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Re: Paypal Website Payment Standard, skip first step

PayPal remembers that you've already logged in from your browser, and presents you with a login screen.

Clear your browser cache and cookies and you'll see that the PayPal screen will show the new-customer page instead of the login page.

Re: Paypal Website Payment Standard, skip first step

That does make sense, however, im still receiving the first page. with the big login screen and a link if you want to use credit cards. I tried on multiple computers, clearing out the cookies and cache each time.

Any other suggestions? Thanks so much for the help so far!

Hmmmm ... well, since PayPal is the one who controls that page, you're likely going to have to ask them what's wrong.

Re: Paypal Website Payment Standard, skip first step

Bumping this thread to see if a solution was found. I'm faced with the same issue. I called PayPal but the representative I talked to said that the "bypass" was not possible.

Thing is, I've seen it working on another website so I'm sure that it works.

Thanks,

Dustin

Re: Paypal Website Payment Standard, skip first step

I already explained how PayPal's login screen works, in post#2 above.
What "bypass" are you referring to?
What website were you referring to when you said "working on another website"?
