need help with shipping error

Can someone please point me in the right direction to get rid of the canada post module (which shows up with errors) when the cart has free shipping.

I am using the canada post mod and the freeshipper:

• Canada post works fine for normal shipping
• freeshipper and canada post works together when there is a free shipping item and a non free shipping item.
• when there is only freeshipping items both show up and the canada post module has an xml error. I want to stop the canada post mod from coming up in this situation.

I have noidea where to start! I want to go live within the next week.

Are you able to post a link to your site? I'm probably not the answer to your prayers but a link usually attracts someone's attention.

please add the "free sample pack" from the featured products on the main page

then log in using

email: [email protected]
password: test1

check out with only the free sample pack and you will see the error at the shipping page.

please do not fully checkout.

I've just tried and didn't get any errors using FF. I was going to try IE but you wont give me another free sample :smile:

If you want to increase that limit I'll try again.

i just tried it in ff, i do see the error... maybe you missed it. When you first click on checkout and it goes to shipping selection, there is a canada post xml error at the bottom of the page.

This is why I asked you not to checkout entirely, but rather just click on back or leave or something since you can only order one per accout. i've deleted that order so you should be able to check out with it again.

Beyond my abilities to help you but I ran a quick search and it threw up these 2 threads. Both point to the same cause so it might give you a place to start.

I just checked those out, and as far as i can see i don't have an & in the product title..

can anyone help me? This doesn't seem like a huge problem for someone that knows what they are doing. I posted in the commercial help forum and still not getting any response.

oh my i finally figured something out. All i had to do was say it was virtual product and the shipping page just disapears. :) It's limted to one account so i really only wanted to ship it out to the adress the signed up with anyways.

You could compare that shipping module to the others and see how the function zen_get_shipping_enabled to manage this ...
