coupon only next time

How do I make the discount coupon to be used when the customers maks her next shopping?
ie not to be saved and used when wanted

Why wouldn't the date limit work with a 1 use on the coupon and 1 use on the customer?

I am trying to see where it matters that I come in on Tuesday and order ... get a coupon ... order on Thursday, Friday and Saturday ... but I have to use the Discount Coupon on the Thursday order and cannot use it instead on either the Friday or Saturday order ... :unsure:
