Help! Cannot reach my site anymore

I recently bought a SSL through Godaddy so after the ssl was installed i wanted to change the config files so my store would show up as ssl. I followed the tutorial here: http://www.zen-cart.com/tutorials/index.php?article=14 then saved my changes and when I loaded my site it gave me a page that said this > Hello. Thank you for loading Zen Cart™.

Start with replacing your configure.php files with the originals - this should bring you back to where you started and you can progress from there

Thank you for your response. I din't have the originals but luckily i found a file called configure.php.bak which i found out was a template of the config file so I filled in all the information in the file (eg. DB name, Pass, and directories)and it works now. I don't understand why it wouldn't work before if the information was exactly the same as what i put in the new file. The only thing that I could tell was different was that non working config file, when I opened it in notepad it would appear without any spaces or stuctured format.
For exampe the non working file looked like this```

If so why would that happen in the first place? I used FileZilla to edit.

Use filezilla to FTP it to your local and notepad to edit & save FTP back to your server....

Never used the filezilla editor???
