Change SOLD OUT button to text on new products page only

Hello everyone,

I am trying to change the SOLD OUT button into text (no image) on the new products page only. Unfortunately php is not my strong point so i'm now totally stuck! I've managed to change the layout from tables to divs and set the main image height/width but when a 'sold out' item shows it is now stretching the 'sold out' image to the size i set in my stylesheet for the main images.

Really hoping some genius coders can stop me pulling the rest of my hair out!
