Well, the naming does not have a direct affect on whether this plugin will work or not, it can affect which picture(s) appear with which product(s). Ie, picture for product number one is named A, and picture for product number two is marked AB, well, product two's picture will show up for both products, but picture for product one will only show for product one. This is the case regardless if Zen Lightbox is installed. Zen Lightbox allows the image to be shown as the "center" of attention when clicked on. If there happen to be more than one picture available for that product, then there are configurable options to address that.Quote:

I have converted all my client sites from Zen Lightbox to Zen Colorbox. One of the BIGGEST driving factors for this is because Zen Colobox is responsive and Zen Lightbox is not and cannot be easily made responsive.. I can't remember the exact fix (besides switching to zen colorbox which is likely to have support moving forward), but there was a conflict of this and at least one other plugin (TPP I think it was) that lead to seeing something like this issue. A fix was provided several pages back and had to do with changes to the javascript. I may have expressed why this is seen incorrectly, but there was something about the code that lead to seeing this. Please identify what plugins you have installed so that better help may be offered.Quote:

Slimbox is a very slimed down lightbox... doesn't have code for anything other then images.. where colorbox is a full lightbox and can display anthing... I use it to dispaly images, help, privacy, contact-us form and such... easy to setup, degrades back to a standard popup... responsive, no problems. create the standard popup, add zen colorbox code, set a class, set a watch for the class in DOM, done...Quote:

Im in ver v1.5.4, with IH4 & Lightbox1.70 installed. Only the main image is styled in the lightbox. Additional images will not style in lightbox and only display in the original popup. I have tested many different configs and setting and am at a loss to figure out why additional images will not style in the lightbox. My additional images are clearly missing rel="lightbox-g". Has anyone run into this issue and been able to resolve it.

When a problem is found with a plugin, it is advised to review the forum thread for that plugin. It would help to read the last couple of pages at least. Doing that should have identified that this plugin is no longer supported but equivalent functionality is available through another plugin. That plugin is Zen Colorbox.Quote:

this log "only" contains warnings. The should be dealt with, but are not responsible for the white page. There are probably other files reporting an error.

it seems that the latest version does not support zc1.5.5b with responsive_class template? i just tested and installed the latest version, on desktop it works well without any problems, but when i switch to mobile user agent, it shows connecting..., waiting for localhost in status bar, seems like no css or js is loaded, i checked log folder, no errors caused.
anyone knows how to solve this?
Based on the history of this plugin and what it is/was built on, it is unlikely that there is a solution that would work properly in zc 1.5.5. There is an alternative plugin that offers equivalent functionality and has been supported/is supportable. Please see the following referenced post to find where that plugin is located. This post was on the previous page, but apparently overlooked. The reasons for it no longer being supported are not too far before that, but it is based on the lack of further support on the code that makes it possible for this plugin to do what it did so well.Quote:

The version of colorbox that I tried to install onto a zc1.5.5 site had a javascript error that prevented display of the base image. Will continue to try to troubleshoot but again as described in this thread zen lightbox as provided for this plugin is built on software that doesn't work on the more recent javascript/jquery. Additional images display perfectly in the lightbox, but do not show up after I turn off lightbox from admin.
Do I need to completely delete the plugin files from the server? I'd like to keep those files (not just a few) in order to be flexible.

Right, there's not much to update for something that works across the versions. Starting around this thread: https://www.zen-cart.com/showthread....53#post1236553 the issues with the javascript are described. Now I've tried to look elsewhere/further for any more of a centralized discussion, possibly outside this thread, but as pointed out a page or so ago by lat9, there was a cap on full functionality based on jquery version. After a certain point it just didn't work anymore and the issues seen/described here were identified. That was back in 2013/2014. After repeatedly suggesting redirection to colorbox which I have used the latest found on github with a minor modification to successfully install to a ZC responsive 1.5.5 site.
Niestudio did his homework and testing. He supported both plugins and had identified that it was not worth continuing to develop/modify this module because the base of the functionality was not being worked on/expanded and colorbox base javascript was.
I've reviewed many pages but really could not find the same problem that I am facing.
My zen 1.5.4, image handler 4 v432 with lightbox 1.6.5 or 1.6.4 (tried both versions) running at Xampp. I first installed image handler and then installed lightbox.
When I click the image (main product or additional image), about 1/5 chance that the image didn't display normally. i.e. there is no "next" "prev" "close" button at the image but a magnifier cursor that is able to zoom in/out when clicking image. Even refreshing page, no any change at all and I hanged at that page. I can return to product page only by clicking the backward key!

Even with all of the "recent" discussion of the plugin, considering that both of those plugins depend on javascript to provide the expected functionality and that there is something going on during page load to possibly affect that (inconsistent operation), would suggest validating your webpage to ensure that the javascript is able to fully execute. HTML validation errors can prevent javascript operation as well can poorly written/incompatible javascript.

Honestly, there is little that can be determined with that information, but if I may explain a few things. 1) before adding any other plugins that interact with the front end, the template should resolve satisfactorily with an html validator such that the page has no errors. There are some errors that will have no effect on javascript, but it is far easier to say that you are starting with a clean slate that functions.Quote:

And there it is... The advice for that issue which has been the case for the last what, 4 years is to uninstall lightbox and instead install colorbox. The link is posted several times over the last few pages. Colorbox was made/modified to handle that situation. I have zen_lightbox 1.6.5 working ok with 1.5.5e. It needs to have the includes/classes/zen_lightbox folder added. There are three files in that. autoload_default.php, options.php, slimbox.php. It must come from some earlier version I had. Good luck.

Colorbox and lightbox are not the same. Lightbox is authored by Alex Clarke, colorbox is authored by niestudio. I've just done a file comparison of slimbox.php and jquery_colorbox.php and they're very different.

Lightbox was mentioned in other threads as makes problems with newer versions of Zen Cart
and therefor I installed the Colorbox on 1.5.5 zen cart.
The colorbox worked well until something happened and caused it to make problems as mentioned before.
I do not know what was really the change that made the problem but I suspet that it happened after SSL installation.
ZC-1.5.5e, PHP 5.6.32, Database patch level 1.5.5 , IH 5, ZLB 1.6.5
The Next button does not appear on the main image.
The additional images have the appropriate next and prev buttons.
ie. The 1st Additional image has the next button. The 2nd additional image has the next and prev buttons.
The last additional image has the prev button.
Everything else is working fine.
any help would be appreciated
