Te he dejado algunas correcciones en la página de sourceforge.net, ¿Has podido echarle un vistazo?

¿Has podido echarle un vistazo?
Hello,
I've upgraded to Zencart V1.5 with a couple thousand products. Everything seemed fine. Later I decided to add Spanish Language Pack V1.5. It installed without any problem, and is working fine.
When I selected Spanish, I noticed the products were still in english and understand that there is no conversion for that. When I went to put in a new product I noticed there were 2 lines for description, one english one spanish. I began to wonder where is the new spanish product description stored. I know there was only one field in the product_descriptions table for description, and the install did not have any table additions or changes.
I looked at the product_descriptions table and noticed all the records were duplicated. Is this the way its supposed to be? Is this the solution in order to allow another language product description?
Thank you for your time and this addon,
Wm. Kenny
Well, yes to everything.
The action of adding another language in the admin creates the necessary new fields in the database which are automatically populated with the existing descriptions etc. (better than having nothing at all).
I suggest you now get familiar with Apsona to export, edit and re-import your new texts.
Keep an eye on the sourceforge files for minor corrections, I don't bother updating the file here unless there's an actual problem.
Dear [FONT="] torvista,
Thank you for the prompt reply.
Now I understand the purpose of language_id in products_description.

a
He instalado el idioma español 1.5.

Okay... I understand that if I want the descriptions of the products to appear in Spanish, I have to do the translating, but that the other built in language stuff, like "Sponsors" or "Manufacturers" or whatever, will be in Spanish.
So if I want a category for "Women's Clothing" I would have to create "Ropa de Mujer" category, through the admin panel.
The thing is, I want the customer to be able to choose a Spanish-language site, but I want the admin panel to talk to ME in ENGLISH, not SPANISH.
Can that happen?
CultureClick the baby Zenner
The admin interface can always be selected to display in english or the added languages. The extra languages don't overwrite the english files.
If its crucial to not see any spanish in the admin even by accident, make a copy of the admin/languages/english files and folders and rename them to spanish/delete the language pack spanish files. Never tried it but it should work.
Gotcha! Thank you.
I've uploaded the latest minor changes to the plugins section.

There is one important fix included: this is needed or the admin-forgotten password link will not work.
Hola,
p.ej.
http://www.zen-cart.com/wiki/index.p..._language_pack
\includes\languages\spanish\account.php
deberias copiarlo a
\includes\languages\spanish\TU_PLANTILLA\account.php
y editar la copia, NO la original. Lee como funciona el override system.
excelente ayuda
Gracias
Solamente he usado CECA y 4b, Sermepa nunca he tocado.
The current pack is based on usted.
Apparently Tú is now preferred to make things more friendly as you try to get your hands on your clients money.
So, the Sourceforge usted files have now been duplicated to facilitate the community-created :lol:addition of the tu version.
Note that they are NOT translated at this moment (2012/07/26), but merely put there ready to be modified.
Don't hold your breath.
I use Openoffice Calc extensively to prepare and manipulate mass imports and exports (using Apsona).
Why instead of Excel?..because it asks what charset to use on open and save, essential to ensure you keep things in the correct charset for your database.
I had clients informing me their addresses were being denied as outside the available shipping options.
I found that certain products weights had changed by 1000 for example from 0.035 to 35kg.
When opening csv with Openoffice, apart from choosing the charset and delimiter options, you can also choose the language. I thought this was only for the cell language for spell checking and so chose spanish when appropriate.
This is ok for text but with numbers of three digits behind the point it converted them to spanish format where they use the decimal point as the thousand delimiter, so 0.035 became 35.
While this may trip very few users, it certainly lost me a couple of hours to repair...don’t forget your database backup cronjob!

Quote:

Hola,
He cargado el idioma español, perfecto
From what I've read, the language packs change the entire site (admin and catalog) from one language to another.
EN: Can I leave my admin side in English, but offer the option for Spanish to my customers?

Yes, you will have a dropdown as well for your admin and you will select which language you prefer.
On the other hand you will have to enter all content in both languages. Descriptions, options, etc. What the language packages does is to translate the standard language files like buttons, pages names, etc. but all the content has to be entered by you in both languages.
I got the following warning in checkout...
includes/languages/spanish/modules/payment/purchaseorder.php
I installed the files and now I can see the admin site has drop down on the top left of the screen. On the customer site everything stays in English and I can't see where I can switch over to spanish. I don't know if this is done with a browser setting, microsoft windows/ mac osx setting, or I don't have something installed correctly. How do I switch my test site to the spanish version?
under the admin I added the language with the following settings.
Name: Espanol
Code: es
Image: icon.gif
Directory: spanish
Sort Order:0
the actual site if you need to see it is http://onlineorder.sshorepizza.com
Thank you for your help!
It should detect the browser language or preferred content and switch automatically...or you have to enable the languages sidebox to allow manual switching.
I have most of the site set up. So I tried a test order. The admin email came to me in spanish which I can't read. :) Is there away to make the admin emails only send in English while the customer receives the Spanish email?
while anything is possible, given enough time, effort and money...I think the exercise would be completely pointless as all the emails will contain the same text apart from the order details: one pass though Google translate the first time and you are done!
Okay thank you.
I use this to take orders in a pizza delivery restaurant. Not your typical usage for Zen-Cart I know but often we are busy and just looking to speed up the process. Our area is about 50% spanish speakers so this module is ideal for them to order online. Unfortunately I don't have many bilingual employees.
I just loaded the language pack on zen cart 1.5.1. But when I click on the spanish language icon, it takes me to the classic template in Spanish. There is no icon to switch back to English. Since I have a custom template with a different set of sideboxes, I am stuck in Spanish.

I am using zencart 1.5.1 with the latest spanish pack install. Well I downloaded less than a month ago. Anyways. I am also using edit orders plug in most current version. When I try to edit an order the attributes are in spanish. How do I fix this?

<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1" />
https://www.zen-cart.com/content.php...8859-1-to-utf8

I just dropped that Github fileset into a vanilla 157 install and get no errors when selecting the spanish language, nor when navigating.
Your mods...do ALL of them have their english language defines duplicated in the spanish fileset?
I have fixed my image issues..... I moved all the files over from the english directories that were missing in the spanish directories and it is still giving the same error messages. You said it is working fine for you. I assume you are using the classic or responsive_classic templates? Would I need to do anything else if I were using a different template? Say bootstrap?
Thank you!
Shrimp
I have downloaded and am trying to install the latest from GitHub to see if this may help.... but there is a strange filename in the /admin/includes/functions called "general.156c with mod 157 php" is that supposed to be there?
I don't see that in the 157x language pack.Quote:
general.156c with mod 157 php
It is in the archived/obsolete 156 language pack. It was to point out a php error and include a fix related to the language. It wont do anything/can be deleleted.
You do realise that you need to use the pack indicated for the version, or you will get error messages for each missing constant the code comes across...but the error messages are clear about missing constants.
If you do a new 157 install on the same server, and drop in the spanish 157 fileset and add/enable it, does it work with no errors?
I am working on that right now. Thank you! I found so many files .... could be there are more I missed.
Steve,
I created a new install... put the plug in in and it works! However, in the admin I am getting this message: MISSING LANGUAGE FILES OR DIRECTORIES ... Spanish Spanish
Do you know if there is an easy way to have the code that gives this message say what file is missing?
Thank you!
Shrimp
Is it complaining that the Admin doesn't have the spanish.php and the spanish directory?
Yes! That is what it is complaining about.... I copied the english.php to spanish.php and copied the english directory to the spanish directory and the error message was removed....
I forgot to rename my admin directory before moving it over......
Steve, I put a clean install, put the plugin in and it works okay on the cart side. When I copied the correct files over for the admin and made the Spanish language the default for the admin then the admin side stopped working like it is doing for the website I am trying to get it to show for.... except I am not getting logged error messages.... Are you able to set the admin to Spanish default and it works okay? I had to make copies of the english dir and php to get back into the admin after I set it to Spanish default.... Thank you!
The spanish.php is good... so there might be an issue with the directory.
These files were missing from /admin/includes/languages/spanish/
configuration_validation.php
plugin_manager.php
After this there was not a problem with making Spanish default ... except that it doesn't seem that the Spanish language is default when it is set default.
You mean they are missing from the 156 fileset...correctly, as they do not exist in Zen Cart 156.Quote:

As I mentioned previously, if you are using 157 you need the 157 fileset, which does contain these files.
If I look around your github I see a 158.... would that work?
I NEVER update the plugin fileset: languages are constant tweaks, hence it only lives on GitHub for the time being.
I've just finished consolidating all the versions into one repository:
https://github.com/torvista/Zen_Cart..._Language_Pack
From the Code->Branch dropdown, you choose the version branch that matches your Zen Cart version, download the zip and unzip it.
in the /files folder: rename the ADMIN_NAME folder to match your folder name, then copy all the files into your development site: nothing should be overwritten.
Check it works 100% before uploading to production site.
Report issues on GitHub, or better still, fix them yourselves and submit the fix. That would be a first.
In the v1.57a version the footer appears to be messed up in the Spanish language. The link back to the site does not have the sites name from the "My Store" "Store Name" listed inside of it. Also the "powered by Zen Cart" appears to have problems.
The branch 157 will always refer to the current release version which is now 157c.Quote:

torvista, I am working on updating the Italian pack to 1.5.7c.... is the email directory still used or is that now obsolete?
Thank you!
I have a question about the zc_install feature of the language pack. What causes the spanish language file to be used during the install process? I would like to test this out. I have changed the language of my computer and changed the language of my browser but it did not change the install language....
email directory was needed before 157 as "Dear Sir" was hardcoded. So from 157 email is not needed, although can of course be used to produce different style emails for different languages.
If all the languages files are in the right place, a language choice should be offered in the first page of the installer.
Attachment 19651
If it doesn't, you could try and check it/force it adding the parameter:
zc_install/?lng=es_es
Thank you!
I may have found some other things that may need to be fixed or maybe I need to learn something....
Zen_Cart-Spanish_Language_Pack/files/includes/templates/responsive_classic/buttons/spanish/
This directory has an image in it that looks the same as the regular button..... just wondering why it is needed and no other buttons were not needed.
also.... Zen_Cart-Spanish_Language_Pack/files/includes/templates/responsive_classic/
Would not these images if loaded onto an english cart replace the english buttons with the spanish button?
Should the images in that directory be put in an images/spanish/ directory?
The same thing for the "template_default" template shouldn't there be an images/spanish directory or wouldn't the default install language images be overwritten?
Thank you!
buttons/spanish/ : that one lone image mirrors the lone image in the /english folder. It's an image/has no language/is the same image as the english one, but it needs to be there as the template looks for a language-specific image.
responsive_classic/images
These *_es images do not overwrite. They are es versions of various english images that are located in the /images folder.
Thank you for helping me understand! I now see the _es on the images. :)
I have moved all the start of my new italian language pack over and now I am given the option of languages..... most of the files are still in English except for the main.php in the zc_install. I saw how the previous pack used the \' for the extra 's used in the language. I have fixed all problems from the log files that have gotten created but now I still have the "This page isn't working" message but no log files when I switch to the Italian language in the install.... Can you direct me to what I can do next to debug the issue since I have no idea what the problem is? There is not a zc_install in the current version of the italian language pack. Is there a mod that would help me debug? Thank you!
Firstly, everything in the zc_install is irrelevant to the function of the shop and the language aspect is only for the installer pages language: nothing to do with the languages installed in the shop. The installer is it's own ecosystem, just for installing.
If you have no debugs, something is going wrong very early on. If you are sure it is the language pack, then overwrite it with the vanilla english files into the italian directories, make sure it works, then copy in the italian files until it breaks.
I always use strict reporting on my development server: https://docs.zen-cart.com/user/troub...ng/blank_page/
I had translated the main.php using Google Translate Document.... when Google translated it added some extra html items to the beginning and end of the document.... I guess so that it could be viewable.... I removed the extra items .... now the main.php is being displayed at the beginning of the install page after I choose the language.... and none of the keywords are defined.... back to trying to figure that part out.
I'm trying to add the Spanish language pack on my demo cart using zen cart v1.5.7 and Westminster New Responsive Template. The slimmenu tabs are not showing right and the slideshow is missing. See attached or demo cart here: https://themchorsegroup.com/DemoCart...ex&language=en. What have I done wrong? Help please.
Any constants defined in the add-on template must be mirrored/duplicated in the spanish files. Use a comparison program (Beyond Compare) to check and fix these issies.
The language pack for Zen Cart 2.0.0 is now available:

The language pack for Zen Cart 2.1.0 is now available:

Form an orderly queue, don't want to crash the GitHub servers.
Thanks, probably you're the first person to follow that link...:sadwalk:
