Number of clicks on the site (accuracy is not 100% as this is recorded based on session ID)

Customer ID (if signed in)
Order ID (if order was placed)
Were products added to cart (true/false)
Did the customer Checkout (true/false)

Will not be finished, to develop and to be supported. Because I write other, tracking module. :cool: But you can add comments, bugs, wishes and modifications.

Thanks barezin for this mod. I have installed all files and successfully created a supertracer table in the database, but some of the reports do not work:
if I select Visitors Countries Stats: I got this:

Thanks Berezin. It works now. But I still have 0 recors for each report that involves Referrer. What referrer actually means and how should I use these reports? List of the last ten customers works just fine now.

Referrer is very important information in internet marketing. Mine poor English does not allow me in detail to tell about importance of these reports. May be somebody else?

I think I got it in the meantime what referrer is. Basicaly it is a URL location from which user came to my site...

When you time permits it would be great if you can post for others how you got this to work. The read me is straight forward except that some people might not be clear on how to make the adjustments in Zen Cart that were referenced for osCommerce CRE Loaded.

OK, let me put it simple... there is no trick. You just need to copy all files from two downloaded folders into the right folders on your web server. All folders already exists exept "jscript" within custom template. Just copy the whole jscript folder under the YOUR_TEMPLATE. Be aware that YOUR_ADMIN should refer to main admin folder in the cathalog and YOUR_TEMPLATE sould refer to the folder of currently active template. Finally, just copy content of install.sql file into clipboard and execute it using PHPMyAdmin in the shop database. Do not forget to create a backup of whole site before any other action, so if somethin goes wrong, restore the backuped files.

I was actually referencing the section in the read me for adding the links to the Admin side. It sounds like it's not needed.

I don't think it is needed for Zen Cart implementation, because after deploying all the files, one can find a new menu item under "Reports menu" - "Supertracker". Clicking on this menu item, a page is opened containing a drop down list, where you can select desired report. You can also delete some old records and filter out records made by search engines.

Yet another hit Andrew, thanks for the hard work. Now if I could just write a program that automatically logs in for me and installs all your mods as you come out with them, hell I could take a vacation. Haven't found one yet that I don't like or was a big help.

Thank you for this tracker. It works perfectly. I had to install the sql via my c-panel, but that's normal for me as the zencart sql installer doesn't ever seem to work well for me.

I am updating my cart for 1.3.0.2 to 1.3.7. I am trying to add this in. It seems to work but when I go to the Configuration>Super Tracker

I just get a blank page. There are no settings. I have run the uninstall sql and the install sql from both the cart admin and myphpadmin. Still the same thing. I also have usertracking install, but this seems to be way better. I am almost sure its a sql problem here.

Any help would be great.

I see now. If you don't change the define the two Landing Page reports will not show in the drop down. Thanks for the heads up.

BTW some of the features in Supertracker are disabled within the mod code. When Andrew ported he did not plan to further develop this mod, rather he was working on releasing his own tracking mod with features from Supertracker, User Tracking, BBClone, etc. But with Andrew saying goodbye to the Zen Cart community looks like that will never happen. So unless a developer picks this mod up to improve on it don't expect any bug patches or complex fixes or updates to be released. But might as well post your ideas and wishes for this mod in case a developer does pick up on it.

As far as I can see no code fixes were discussed or posted to this thread. Only sql patch by Andrew in post #3.

Regarding the questin on if the updated sql patch is in the available download version of Supertracker mod, it is easy enough for you to check. Just download and compare!

Since the release date of the mod, as listed above, is AFTER Andrew's sql fix posting, it could be presumed the updated sql patch would be in version in the ZC downloads area. But if you do not like to assume things then as stated it would easy enough for you to compare with the sql posted on the forum and rectify.

At any rate Andrew would not have updated the mod version number just because of a slightly altered sql patch.

But for you I just checked and the version in the downloads area indeed contains the updated sql patch. So please proceed. :wink2:

I think it's important to remember, that even though a lot of Zen Cart store owners are ahead of the curve, and have a good working knowledge of coding (or at least as far as ZenCart goes), our primary vocation is in what we sell, not how we sell it.

I am, after all, a potter. I make cookie jars. :P

The Zen Cart community is great, and I hope some day I'll be able to give back some of the help I've received thus far.

I recommended comparing files as it appeared that you did not know you could do that for sql files (otherwise you probably would have done that and not posted your question). sql patch files are just text files. Obtain a good compare tool and learn the basics in using it. If running Windows try WinMerge or Beyond & Compare. Just some hints to help you become a little more self-sufficient in Zen Cart shopowner basics.

I need to visit my potters support website and ask them why my cookie jar broke when I dropped it and how to glue it back together it. Hope they understand my primary vocation is eating cookies, not fixing cookie jars. :wink2:

Thanks! I got WinMerge. Neat program, thanks for recommending it. I did as you suggested (now after the fact) so that I can become familiar with the technique. I feel like I just made a major leap forward!

So I have SuperTracker installed, and every report works just fine, EXCEPT for the last ten visitors report.

For some reason I can't seem to fathom, it is taking up to 45 seconds for the last ten visitors to load. Everything other report works just fine, and I've having no other issues with anything else on the site.

Any ideas?

Possibly resolving each customers IP to a host name is contributing to your delay. The resolution occurs at time the report is rendered (such info is not saved to the database)

To test if this may be contributing to your delay comment out the Supertracker code which resolves the IP (to disable the lookup function).

I don't observe this delay on the shops where I have installed Supertracker.

For the wishlist: Add additional switches to Supertracker admin UI config to enable/disable Supertracker features (eg disable host lookup).

I chased this thing around for two days. Checked every log, looked at everything I had changed or added, ran tests against showmyip, optimized the database, but nothing indicated any problem.

We run SuperTracker on our OSC site, and it works just fine, even during the period that the ZenCart version was having problems.

But this morning, the issue cleared up on it's own. I didn't do anything else that might have fixed it, other than getting a good night's sleep. I have to assume that the issue was on my host's end? Except that my data is stored at the same place as our OSC store.

I dunno...but all's fine now.

Thanks Woody, for responding, and I agree with the "wishlist". It could help problem solving to be able to easily isolate external requests.

Are you stating when you go to Reports > Supertracker, the resulting page is blank?

Or are you saying when you select the Reports menu, Supertracker does not appear on the Tools dropdown menu?

Or are you saying something else?

But you are observing Configuration > Super Tracker
just fine and can manage the functions on that admin page ok?

It's all good now.. It was a screwed up database. Thanks for your swift response.

I installed SuperTracker successfully on ZC 1.3.7.1 (fresh installation). I can manage SuperTracker under Configuartion -> SuperTracker. I can also open the report page at Reports -> SuperTracker.

However, the report always say: "Database Info: the Supertracker database currently holds 0 rows (oldest record : )"

It should have at least some info because I've installed it for a few days. My cart has visitors when checking with AWStats. I also disabled the function to exclude myself and bots. Thus, at least, I should see some records of me browsing around. However, nothing was recorded.

Please help me. Thank you very much.

Hello Mark,

You've done a wonderfull job with this module, the item I like the most is the last ten visitors as we can see visitors and not only the one who purchased something.

Of course like with many good things we would like more, and if you let me suggest some of them...

I'm sure the data recorded can give us more points of view, for example
- from the last ten visitors, clicking on someone can filter to this person and track this visitor to know how many times he came before purcahsing

-It can also give us the mean number of visits before purchase

- If doing that by IP, perhaps we can get how many time he came before registering

-We can also get the to ten categories visited


That's a few ideas, let me know what you think about that.

I am attempting to upload the install.sql file using the Upload button on that page. When I do so, I get the following error:

Rather han upload, copy and paste the SQL code. Open install.sql in a text editor, then copy all the text, and then paste into the big text box on "install SQL patches".

Great mod. I was using the User Tracking by REZA, but SuperTracker gives more info AND does not touch core files as User Tracking does (trying not to install mods that touch core, just makes upgrading easier)...

BUT User Tracking gives the ability to see the whole user session by expanding a particular heading, which then shows were the user went throughout your site. Very nice, and hope this can be something included in SuperTracker in the future. Then it would be ideal!! Hopefully it will be considered.

Is this something that can be ported from User Tracking?

So now that I've got it installed, I think SuperTracker is fantastic! Now, this might seem like a dumb question, but is there a way to get a simple count (counter) from it as well without adding another mod?

I know Zen has a counter, but I don't think it gives a very reliable number. Of course, I could scroll back through my last 10 visits, but would love to have something at a glance.

This mod does not support ' in product name. When a product name contains ' for example something's don't change...it renders the site useless and displays a bunch of error code.

If anyone no how to escape the ' for all products with apostrophe in the name that would be great.

Maybe give more information? I have not been able to reproduce the error.

This error happens everything a product includes ' in the name. Change one of your product name to some like Andrew's Mod and then search for Andrew's Mod on the Advanced Search window. It should generate this error.

Thanks Andrew for the fix, where do I apply the change you proposed? In a file or is this and sql update? I am not sure I understand where I should make the change.

Any idea why visitor country stats is not working? I have the geoip.data uploaded to the includes/ folder. I am assuming that's the right location or is it myadminfolder/includes?

Great mod but it seems to record any hits from the UK United Kingdom 6 times.
It reports them coming from United Kingdom and then it reports the same hit as.

I've just installed supertracker and...
For some hours it collected 0 records and after that I've discovered that my site works only if opened from clients from the exclude list.

Any other clients do not open the site at all :-( They are waiting and waiting and waiting...

I've disabled the mod by changing the name of jscript_supertracker.php file to jscript_supertracker.php.bak.

Any ideas?

Think you could add a report that shows keywords the yuse when they use the search function on site.

I think that would be a grea taddition to the mod

Your problem is uncorrect settings of collations in your data base tables. You must set latin1_general_ci collation for ALL your tables in data base.

Hi gang..

Slightly unusual and different problem. I have this mod installed on 2 carts. Works fine on one and the other, works fine but some things are not logged.

Ex: In the last 10 visitors list, it doesn't show people adding stuff to the cart, their names, etc. It shows activity, but not the actual things like the sales and such once a user is logged in.

In my first install, it works fine and shows all that stuff. Any ideas why that might not be showing that info like normal? Thanks!

I have had Supertracker loaded for a few days without GeoIP.dat and it worked fine (except the country report).

Yesterday I unzipped GeoIP and loaded it to my shop/includes directory but now get the following error reports:

Ive had this mod installed for a while now, but for some reason it doesnt track Top Sales Generating Referrers.

Hi guys,

I'm running this mod on ZC 1.3.8 and it's been running fine for the first couple weeks and then yesterday my "last ten visitors" reports started feeding me some wacky info. Like each visitors clicking 50-60 times per visit. On a 1-5 minute visit.

Obviously, that's not right.

Also the product viewed images don't show up neither. It shows a "no picture available" picture. All but one of my products have images, so I don't think that's the problem. Not likely that they're all looking at the same product!

Anybody have an idea what the problem could be?

is SuperTracker Module purpose to track daily Visits like (bots, etc.)?

I am not getting my daily visit like I should. It only shows 2 for the past week.

I usually get about 10 to 20 a day, its not recording them.

SuperTrack Mod. isn't Tracking the Vistors for the last 5 days it shows 0 in the database and I get about 50 a day then why isn't tracking the visitors?

SuperTracker is still not recording visitors like it should what is wrong?

I am running supertracker on zc 1.3.8a. The product images and flags are not showing (for example.. in the last ten visitors section). I have been unable to find the source of this problem. Any assistance would be appreciated.

I have a problem with my site ronloganhealth.com. I loaded the sql database by opening it up in notepad and copied and pasted it over to the sql path loaded in my zen cart admin and had no errors. I copied over the files to all of the directories with no issue, but when I try to load my site nothing comes up. a blank screen and nothing else but the words Done at the lower left hand corner of my browser.

Make sure you copy over all of the files. I missed one the geoip.inc in the includes directory.

If it dosent work double check that you loaded all of the files.

I am trying to exclude my ip address from the Supertracker results. One problem thought, it seems that everytime I open my browser, I have a new IP address. As you can imagine this will badly skew the statistics results. Is there any solution to this problem?

I have recently upgraded to ZenCart 1.38 and now am having problems with some of the functions of SuperTracker. It worked great on my 1.37 version. Does anyone know if it works well with 1.38? The areas I am having trouble with is the successful checkouts and bailed carts on the last 10 visitors page. I've tried reloading the files and nothing has changed....any thoughts out there?:(

We are using this mod with zc138a without problem. How did you concluded that cart abandonement is due to this mod?

I just re-install supertracker, the installation seems fine, I can see it under admin/configaration, and admin/Reports.
But the problem is : it alwasy says: the Supertracker database currently holds 0 rows. I can use "Who's online" to see there are more than 10 visitor already, how come supertracker couln't catch any record?

I have the same problem. I am running zen 1.3.7 and SuperTracker. I have a text box option for products where the customer can type a gift card message. If you place a apostrophe in the text box and hit add to cart the following message is displayed - and the browser must be closed and reopened so clearly losing sales here when this happens!


(to make this easier to read note that the text I entered to generate this message was... test'test (note apostrophe)

Did you apply the patch shown in a_berezin's previous message?
That patch is critical, because it adds the zen_db_input function to the update process.
Which in turn calls PHP's 'addslashes' function to add the needed \ in front of the single quote, double quote, and backslash.
Your parse errors should go away.
