Perhaps because one user posted his/her site link there which may trigger something. I dont get it on FF3 though.

For those who can view that page, here is the most important news on the particular page

Version 3.6.6 is released, this version is a "maintenance" version, which contains minor bug fixes and no new feature. While it is recommended to upgrade, it is not critical.

Bug fixed: cache folder(s) permission: there is a bug in the cache class that causes the new cache folders to be created with insufficient permission (644 for example) on some servers.

After upgrading the new version, please go to admin->extra->ssu manager and run "Check and fix cache", depending on the number of cache files and folders on your site it may take several minutes. If the operation times out, just run it again, it will pick up where it left off.

Benefit of upgrading to this version: if this bug affects your server, it will prevent SSU from utilizing caching properly, and thus may cause SSU to run more sql queries that it should (since it can't read from cached files). This fix will help with that.
I no longer provide installation support on forum for all my modules. However, if there are real bugs with the modules please feel free to contact me

Hi I installed this mod last night and all seemed to be well and I was happy.
Then after a few hours I checked to see who was online and I noticed that the urls were showing less info than I used to see.
    I mean I used to see https://www.mysite.com/shop/index.ph...p_image&pID=33
which I could identify because I know what image 33 is.
    But now I see
    https://www.mysite.com/shop/includes.../header_bg.jpg

I see this for several different ip addresses and I don't know what they are looking at.
When I click the link I get my page not found link.

then my biggest problem was I went to my site and got a Redirect Loop telling me that Firefox couldn't display the page and were my cookies turned off?

I reset the cache and it said it had removed 1700 entries. Is this normal?
How often should I have to reset the cache?

    Any help would be appreciated.
    regards
    Steven

After you set the cache did that correct you problem? Alway when you upgrade reset your cache weather you add products or categories. You need to set up a cron job to do it for you every so often anyway.

Yes by clearing the cache my site started working again. But it had only been active for about 3 hours, this doesn't seem right that it should break so quickly.
And I don't know what a Cron job is.

ok I just googled cron job and now I understand that it's a timed event but I've no idea how to implement that.

Your webhost should provide that capability on your Control Panel.

I'm probably misunderstanding this but how would a cron job click a link every few hours?

Obviously cron jobs cannot click, but they can do lots of other things: like ping, etc.
I don't have a list of all the actions they can perform of the top of my head, you could check with your webhost.
That would be the best source, because they know how they set up your server.

Thanks for your reply, but I suspect this isn't the way forward. Understanding why clicking the clear cache button solved the problem, is the way or why I had a problem in the first place.
Also, the links I mentioned going to page not found isn't good either.
    Here's hoping Mr Yellow1912 has a solution.

    Cheers.

Before you installed this module your site link looked like this for your home page.
    http://www.example.com/index.php?main_page=

After you install the module your home page should look like this.
    http://www.example.com/

If you do not clear your cache you will receive an error message because your links has change. Simple Seo indexes a lot of links in your cache. When ever you change something in admin add or delete you need to always clear your cache. By setting up a cron job in you Control Panel it will do it for you. If you can get to your server Control Panel make a cron like this
    GET http://yoursite.com/cron/ssu.php
