Default Need a backend order entry solution

I need a back end order entry solution and NOT a front end edit on back end unless I can get it to edit BEFORE payment is processed. Super orders and edit order is good up to a point but I am forced to pay for the order BEFORE I can edit it. We have a lot of custom items that are not available to general public on our site but can be found in the admin via edit order. I just need to be able to create an order for a customer and add line items and change pricing etc then add payment via super orders. Can this be done?

    Actually, that's not exactly correct.
You are forced to use a payment module before the order can be stored.

So, if you enable another payment module that doesn't actually collect payment in real time (ie: check/money order, freecharger, or one of your own creation, etc), then you'll be able to complete checkout with that, and then do whatever you wish with it afterwards.

I hacked up admin simple create orders to generate an empty order which I can the use Edit Orders and Super Orders with that works perfect now. The only problem I am having now is how can I put in a credit card and have it go through Authorize.net via the admin back end? I see when I go to Super Orders and view order details I can issue a refund via authorize.net but not enter a payment and have it actually capture it. Can this be done? I hope so.

No, there's no means of doing that via the admin. Nor should there be. What you're asking for is something that you're supposed to do via a swipe machine or via your merchant account console. So, log in to your authnet account and process the card there as a card-not-present transaction.

Why would you say not supposed to be a way of doing that? I'm just curious as to why that would be a problem. It would be nice to just process the order from the backend just like you would from the store front. It would be so much more efficient for any phone orders or orders done via sales reps etc. I don't want to give access to the authnet account for security reasons to the staff. If they can enter a client's card number and process the payment through the authnet gateway and get a response then I have protected my authnet and made it so much easier for my staff. I guess if nothing is out there, I will have to write it in.

Doesn't your authorize.net merchant login allow you to set up additional users with limited access?
