    Default Forced Admin Password Change

    Hi all,

I very much applaud the Zen team for working to make ZC PCI compliant.

I like all of it except the forcing of the admin password to be changed on a regular basis. I'm wondering if there is a way to disable this new feature. It's the one thing that is keeping me from upgrading. I like to be able to change the password when I want not when the computer system dictates, even if this violates PCI compliance.

    Thanks for any info..

There probably is a way to disable it, but I don't think you should try. PCI compliance (a scam, IMO) is a hassle for all of us, but is having to change a password four times a year really all that much of an imposition ?

Not to mention, I'm fairly certain the dissemination of the required code change to support that will not be "allowed" on the forum.. (Kinda like the way the Coppermine admins don't "allow" posts on it's forum for how to disable the Coppermine copyright in the footer..)

I agree.. for many shopowners it is YOUR BUSINESS that you want to protect.. Making it harder for hackers is a good change.. My company requires password changes every 90 days.. Users found it annoying when it was implemented.. but now they've all gotten over it.. **shrugs**
