Child Theme

I am going to make changes to the theme I chose and would like to create a child theme. Can someone point me to where I can find instructions on how to create a child theme? Thank you.

Thank you. That's what I am looking for. And yes, you are right; I am used to Wordpress' 'child' theme instead of 'custom/override'. :)
