Thank you. My site is http://letsseethemenu.com I'd like to use the multi site module to operate the restaurants on my site as stand alone shops from a single admin panel. Is this something the multisite module would work for? I have very limited programing skill but I'd like to learn more so if there is anything I can do to help you in writing the manual please let me know. I learn best when I have a real world problem to solve. Thank you again.
Thanks Design75,
Much appreciated!!
Did you have the same problem with the EZ pages too?, also any tips to adding the session id to other links?
That is exactly how the multisite mod works, one admin and multiple shops. The first time i started building a multisite shop I had zero php knowledge. The thing you need to do is follow the instructions :) (in this case a bit difficult).
- Start by making a local backup and a file-set to use for working with.
- then copy all the new files to your working file-set.
- After that start merging the files from the edit core file folder.
- for configuring you can use the current read me
If you have any questions, ASK !!

The EZ pages are not working, beats me why. Tonight I am going to set-up an ancient 1.38 Zen Cart multi testshop to test the original module, to see if it has ever worked.
I have had no time to think about the session thing. but you could use the code from modules/sideboxes/site_links.php

For now the ez pages mod has been moved from the beta mod in to an experimental mod, to be dealt with at a later time.

Okay, I think the updated module is ready to be released in to the wild. Before uploading it to the plugin area, I would like to keep it a while on github for final testing. Feel free to download it from there, and if I had no comments from you, I will upload it in one month from now.
the download link is : https://github.com/Zen4All/Zen-Cart-...r-ZC-1.5.1.zip
This update contains:
- updated module files for Zen Cart 1.5.1
- Added the admin module registration for Zen Cart 1.5.x
- The module is now multilingual on the admin side as well as the Front end
- The sitelink sidebox has its own tpl file
- Added SyntaxHightlighter 1.5.1 to multisite.php for easier reading and copying code
- Updated readme
Please feel free to give feed back.
For a future release I would like to add:
- ezpages filter (was scheduled for this release, but for some reason it does not work)
- remove the need to edit the original config.php
- your ideas ....
