Also, in User Tracking Config: Under Session Limit where it says:
    User Tracking (Session Limit)
Displaying the latest # sessions of this 24 hour period.
(SET to 999999 for unlimited per 24 hour period)
    NOTE:
    Watch your space !
What is an appropriate number to enter. 50 was the default, which is much too small (if I'm understanding it's use correctly) but if I set it to unlimited or a higher number, will it cause a noticeable drag on my system? Or is it just if you don't purge occasionally?

    Thanks again

    Hi,

I installed user tracking properly but I can't set all the permissions for it in the 'Admin Profiles Mod': the configure-menu-item does not appear in the settings.

If you have made a sale the cart is cleared, removed, gone... Thats why is says "No Cart Recorded" as the cart no longer exists.

If they have a cart without sale then it shows until the session expires and the cart is then cleared from the system hence "Session Expired"

You're absolutely right. I noticed that myself and meant to repost, but hadn't had the chance. Thanks for the response.

As for my other question, I am still hoping for a reply.

I'm having a hard time discerning how many actual people visit my shop. The Admin counter on the first page (Where it says "Counter History for last 10 recorded days Session - Total") will indicate for one day, for example, 645 - 2714. I take this to mean that there were 645 visitors and 2714 page views.
User Tracker module, however, will indicate for the same time period "There have been 2512 page views in this 24 hour period. Total number of users: 181"
Google Analytics will then report, for the same time frame: "Visits: 116
    Pageviews: 914"

Any idea why the discrepancies? And who is more reliable?

    Thanks

    Tim

    Tim,

Can you please tell me how you fixed this. I'm having the same problem with this and another admin mod I installed. Both kick me back to the admin login scree.

    Thanks in advance,

    Mr. Godiva

Unfortunately I've yet to fix that specific quirk. However, it doesn't impede my use of the module (except as an inconvenience) because once it kicks me back to the login and I log in again, I am then able to view sessions normally until the next time I log out. I don't know what causes this glitch but I do know, after reading through the forums on this and other modules, that I am not the only one to experience it and that it isn't unique to this module.

Sorry I couldn't be of more assistance.

    Tim,

Thanks for your reply. With me, I am not able to view them. Once it kicks me out to the login, I re-login and then go back to the view sessions and when I click on it, it sends me to the login screen again. I'm in a continous never-ending loop...

I can view all other areas of the admin, just can't view the sessions..

    Thanks,

    Mr. Godiva

I don't know if this plays into it, but in the User Tracker Config I have User Tracking (ADMIN) and User Tracking (HostLookup) both set to false. (Primarily because it speeds response time)
If your settings are different you might want to give this a try.

    Good luck!

    Tim,

Mine was still at default (turned on). I tried what you said and I still have the same problem. Everytime I click on "view session" it sends me to the log in screen. I log in and it sends me to the index page of admin. I go back into user tracking and click on view session and back to log in......

    Thanks,

    Mr. Godiva
