Display Date Product Added not turning off

I have set "Display Product Date Added" to "0" in all of the following
Admin/Configure/
NEW LISTING
FEATURED LISTING
ALL LISTING,
but it persists in displaying on the page.

Does anyone know why this is happening please? and how I can remove the display?

maybe consider commenting it out on the page templates. May not be the best way but..

Each Product Type has its own setting ... have you an URL where you are seeing this show?

It shows up when I view any particular product.
as an example on the following.

Go to Catalog ... Product Types ...

Click on Product General ...

Click on Edit Layout ...

Turn it off for the Product General product type ... each Product Type has its own set of settings ...

You mention that you set the "Show Date Added" in Product Type Info Page Layout options :: Document - General = to "0", but did you set it to "0" (false) in

Product Type Info Page Layout options :: Product - General?

If your product can be added to the cart, is it a "General Product" classification, or is it a "document"? Just make sure you set the "Show Date Added" for the proper product type.

It should work?

Thank you ffolks. The direction is plain.

I'm unclear about the location of many things due to ambiguity of meaning, and I guess its a matter of semantics which gives rise to so many posts.
No way round but to learn the way ZenCart is configured with its unique symbol system, but without these helpful pointers from the forum, Id still be floundering in the dark through an infinity of code.
