hope you dont mind me hijacking the thread - but this may have answered a question i was looking for! i have got and have played with zen cart on my site to get a feel for it, i am now ready to do it for real (have even purchased the book!! YAY! its great!) so would like to re-install an empty cart with no products, no additional mods, and none of the templates i have downloaded - so do i just use the auto install? and do i need any info from my host (TerraNetwork)
Where is the test cart installed and where do you want to install the "real" one?
If you want to keep the test cart you created (and it's in a separate directory), create another database for the new cart and then run the installer again (you'll probably have to upload it to the server again) and point the fresh install to the new database.

the 'test cart' is live, it was installed by my hosting company. I want to re-install in the same place, effectively re-setting the cart i have to its original state (but preferably without all of the test products) and i need to set it to UK currency etc.
just wanted to say thanks but my hosting co are going to re-install for me (for a small fee!) as i have been trying to follow the zen cart book on the installation and i am getting VERY lost! so i am going to leave that part to the experts and get on with the job of tarting up the cart!
thanks again and sorry if i wasted your time!
Have you done much customization to the cart?
