Well I started trying to port this over myself, but it is way over my head. Some of it is easy, and some is brutal for my small amount of php ability.

I will keep plugging away though and see if I can get anything working. Biggest issues I am seeing is with:

admin/categories.php

and admin/includes/functions/general.php

There are a few things I cannot find as well, so I am calling it a day and I will start fresh in the morning.

Another YAY from another drop shipper!

Any hints of how close is this mod to be ported?

When I first tried oscommerce I tried adding the mod - but I ended up breaking it. I thought it was a very clever idea and I was looking forward to it.
In the mean time I discovered Zencart and... I don't want to return to oscommerce ever!

But this nifty mod would be fantastic if it will be working in zencart!!! We really do not need anything else at that point!

Nope, I didn't know of that one... I read through it but it does not seem to be able to customize shipment for each vendor. And that thread stopped being active in April 2006, and I am unsure of installing something that lost that suport, so much more that is unlikely do be developed for current or future versions of Zencart...

I've never used the OSC MVS, so I don't know what customize shipment implies, but if it means you can accurately teel what the dropshipper is going to charge for shipping on a mixed batch, then yes it's a very nice feature, and no, the drop ship/po module doesn't have it.

So many of us use multiple vendors and drop ship, I can't believe this isn't a native part of Zen Cart. Custom shipping options per product or category would be great. Different drop shippers would offer different shipping options making this a necessity.

I inventory many items from various suppliers, and also drop ship items too large, expensive or slow moving to inventory in house. A multi vendor app would almost have to allow me to define available shipping options by item or category based on each suppliers shipping options.

I would give a kings ransom for these additions to be added to Zen Cart. Now all I have to do is come up with a kings ransom. :)
