Google Checkout module for ZC 1.3.x (beta)

So, I have been combing over this forum, and still don't understand how to get Google Checkout as the only option for checkout.

I've read one solution, but it didn't seem to work for me.

As it stands, if someone opts to create a new account, or logs in as an existing customer, they can start to checkout but under payment options, it says there are none, because Google Checkout is my only option. And the only way right now to choose Google Checkout as a payment option is during checkout, if the user is NOT logged in, and they get sent to the login page.

How do I get it so if a user is logged in and goes to checkout, they can choose Google Checkout as a payment option, and get sent out to Google's server?

You helped me (I'm hoping that it works!) So here's my thought on your situation....maybe I am way way off, but if you only have the googlecheckout module turned on in admin>payments wouldn't google be the only way they can pay?? Just a thought, I'm sure it isn't that easy, what ever is??

It is the only way they can pay, but right now, the Google Checkout only shows up as a button when checking out. If the customer creates an account, or logs in, they are shuttered off to a Zen Cart checkout page where Google checkout isn't a payment option. And since there are no other payment options, there's nothing for them to do.

I could disable the login feature, but I don't want to if I don't have to. I just want Google Checkout to show up as a payment option during checkout.

In Google Checkout: Settings: Integration: API Callback URL:
enter the path back to your responsehandler.php file.

For me, it was:
https://mydomain.com/googlecheckout/responsehandler.php

Replace https://mydomain.com with whatever the secure URL is for your store.

Okay so I tried this and thought all was fine but I just got an email from google saying

We've made several unsuccessful attempts to send order notifications to your notification callback URL, https://www.mommyandbabyessentials.com/googlecheckout/responsehandler.php As a result, you aren't receiving order status, risk, or other notifications.

I checked and my googlecheckout/responsehandler.php is set to 777

any other suggestions?

ok i need a little advice with this as i seem to be going around in circles, i have just uninstalled GC and iam starting from scratch, i need to understand where to put files first if anyone could be so kind in helping me to clarify my thoughts.

I have an SSL server which is: https://canvas-style-art.ssl-01.com/
and i have a domain server where the cart resides, when installing the GC mod
do i install it on the domain server side and the SSL side?

this is the first time i have ever set anything like this up so iam a bit green.

Im stuck in the middle of installing GC. I have installed easy sign up and login and my tpl_login_default.php is totally different. I don't know which comments to replace. Im following step 2 by the way.

Ok, I managed to get the button to appear in the shopping cart but im not sure what supposed to happen next. Im still using sandbox so am I supposed to get to Google Checkout page when I click the button?

The download comes with instructions on where to put everything, and they are very detailed. Did you read those?

Ok, got the button working. Just wondering, is the order made with sandbox account supposed to be shown in admin?

I still can not get this to work. I have completely started over, uninstalling and reinstalling the latest version of this mod. And my orders are still not showing up. I have changed permissions and still nothing....anyone have any idea?
I get the request when I go to responsehandler. And I have the .htaccess Basic Authentication Mode set to True

Thanks for any help. It is really a pain to have to check the google site constantly to find orders!

Im having the same problems. All orders recorded in Google but not in Zen Cart.

Is .htaccess Basic Authentication Mode supposed to be set to True? And am I supposed to have .htaccess file inside the googlecheckout folder? If yes, how do I make one?

Lastly, why do I have "Error: Shipping Methods not configured
freerules (ignored)" under the Google Checkout button?
