That "AML" reference in my post should have read "XML". My main point (not clearly expressed) was that XML exported from phpMyAdmin would only know about the source data's structure and would therefore be marked up for re-import into the source, or a very similar database, rather than to your target system.

I spend $000s with google and the prices are going up so am working my wat thru the shoping search engines.
It seems a flexible XML writer is needed. XML is pretty simple so really not a difficult thing to do. Indeed even a basic XML like Google Feed can be post processed to add in the specific attributes for a new feed - simple search and replace even.
HAS ANYONE GOT A GOOD WAY OF GETTING XML OUT
I use the google feed and post process - anyone got any ideas on what tool is best for this awy,sed, editor macros ???
