One more observation.. The WSIWYG tool you are using to create your site is not properly creating the HTML file you need to get this template to work.. If you are NOT familiar with writing your own HTML this is going to be a bit of an issue, and not an issue that I think you are going to easily get around on your own.. So I hope you don't mind a suggestion.. I was looking at your site, and I am curious as to why you don't just have a go at creating the WHOLE thing in ZenCart.. I didn't see anything in your site that couldn't be EASILY created in ZenCart..

the irony of this was this program was originally created to work w/ wysiwygs. so that a code less graphic designer could update the site easily w/o having to know html (after some one set up the samg_embed for them). it just happened to turn out that it was good for code monkeys as well.

I know.. I think the issue is his WYSIWYG editor is not allowing him to access the source code to properly include the code needed to get this template to work.. I was looking at his Cart, and it is repeating the header and footer.. Looks like the template code is embedded in two locations.. Hmmmmm...

Well it looks like you are now working with the stylesheet and other Zen Settings, and it's getting closer.. I still think you would be WAYYYYY better off doing this whole site in ZenCart.. Just a thought.. But good luck to you either way..

    Two things..

    1. I don't think you need Joomla for your particular site.. You really can do EVERYTHING you are trying to do in ZenCart. You can use the defined pages and EZ pages to create all of the "non shopping" content.
    2. Go back and look at the link I posted (it's on page 14). IF you decide to go with Joomla (a step I don't think you need to do), you don't HAVE to use VirtueMart. The link I posted is a Joomla main site with a ZenCart for shopping.. I used THIS template contrib to tie both together esthetically.

Now that said, (and please do not take this the wrong way) I gather that you are not very experienced with HTML and such (hence the need for the WYSIWYG tool) this is not a slam.. just an observation.. If you are at the level skill wise that I think you are at, combining Joomla with ZenCart is a LOT of work, and you are gonna have to have some GOOD understanding/experience with CSS to make it LOOK & feel seemless.. That said I had a few tricky areas on my site where I that I had to turn to greater CSS experts for help..

IMO you should REALLY give a looksee at doing your entire site in ZenCart.. I've seen NOTHING in your current site that gives me the sense that this is not a viable solution..

    DivaVocals, and ogie56,
I think the dialog is greate here about the WYSIWIG, and I will be adding an istall requirement to the Read only about haveing a mark up file with a flexable height. in the embed cell.
But the discussion of weather or not ogie56 needs to use an addtioanl CMS for his site, is not really on topic w/ this thread, and I dont want to have to make people who read the whole thread have to read rabit trails.
So if you would kinly move to another thread for this conversation it would be cool.
look I alread started it here http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showthread.php?p=539625

I actually wasn't suggesting that he use another CMS for his site at all. If you re-read my posts, you'll see that what I WAS suggesting is that he use ZenCart for his ENTIRE site.. I also suggested that IF he used Joomla for his main site, that this template contrib was a great way to tie the two programs together esthetically.. (It's what I did with the site link I posted earlier in this thread -- if you recall, ogie --and you-- both asked for examples of this contrib in action.. I posted a site which happens to be a Joomla site using this template to tie the two together..) While my suggestion for ogie to use ZenCart to do his entire site is probably off topic for this thread, with all due respect, I do think that the rest of my suggestions are still on topic. Even if my comments do mention Joomla, I was simply offering ideas on how THIS template could be used if he went that route.. It was after all the SAME dilemma I was trying to resolve when I decided to use this contrib to solve the SAME problem.. (I was building a Joomla site and needed a way to use ZenCart with it instead of Virtuemart)
