Hello people,

I asked a question by opening a new thread but I haven't got any replies so I guess this is a better place to as kmy question again. I create an xml sitemap from google xml sitemap module but when I check the urls in the sitemap I find out that most of them go to a page that says "Sorry, the items was not found." and none of them actualy goes to a webpage with any products. Is this correct or am I doing somethign wrong?

Why does it not display my product review? This is the link that simple seo urls module creates for a specific product review

I have just uploaded Google XML Sitemap Admin and when i go to run the sitemap

I get

Save path - "/xxxxxxxxxxxx/"
Base URL - "xxxxxxx/"
File "robots.txt" not found in save path - 
"/xxxxxxxxxxxxxx/htdocs/robots.txt"

What do i do to make it work?

Create a robots.txt and put it in your store directory.

I have successfully installed Sitemap, Configured it, and Ran it to create the expected 3 files.

However, the URL's are all wrong.

I am on shared hosting with BlueHost. My store domain is an add-on, so it lives below the main domain. The sitemaps use the Main Domain as the Base URL.

How do I get Sitemap to use my store URL's?

Main Domain = sell-a-ton.com
Store Domain = bobbibopstuff.com
Store catalog = bobbibopstuff.com/
Store directories = home/sell-a-ton/public_html/bobbibopstuff/

Sitemap uses these URL's
Save path - "/home/sellaton/public_html/bobbibopstuff/"
Base URL - "http://sell-a-ton.com//"

What would I need to do to either mod the Sitemap files or databases to use or generate the correct URL, or to my hosting configurations?

I found and solved the problem.

I had set up the store on my new host prior to moving the domain. In my configure.php files, I had absolute paths for the store without my actual domain.

After moving, I forgot to modify both of the configure.php files to include my actual domain instead of relative folders.

Once I fixed them, Sitemap ran just fine and output the correct information.

Someone asked about this same problem I'm having but we never got a reply. Installation went smooth and the sitemap gets generated with no problems. The only problem is the ezpages sitemap. It keeps coming up as an empty file. Here is the message:

"sitemapezpages.xml OK! Written 0 records, 0 bytes
Generated Google EZPages Sitemap Successfully - "

I have about 12 ezpages that I created so why are these not getting indexed into the sitemapezpages.xml?

Is there a certain ezpage configuration that I need to do for the sitemap to work? Thanks.

Check your settings in Admin->Configurations->Google XML Sitemap:
EZPages Header
EZPages Sidebox
EZPages Footer

hi, there

i've just installed this add-on on my local testing site and now got 2 problems:

1st: i can't find a sub-menu 'google xml sitemap' under tools menu, it only appears under configuration tab, why and how to deal?

2dn: my local site is under a directory named 'store', how can i rename the 'your_domain' directory name just under the unzipped downloaded pack for when i input a directory name with '/', Windows would not allow!

1. How can i change the 'base url' to match the real situation of my site: under the /store/ directory of the base domain
2. I do have 4 pages of EZPage links. Why sitemapezpages.xml would not show the fact?
