    Default Google froogle help

my website is mobilecustomsusa.com I lost my password to my old username so i had to make another. Anyways I think I am in the right area. My designer intergrated 1.3.7 into my site zencart. I lost froogle. That is where alot of my income comes from. So I uploaded it back in. I thought it was a success. I went to tools google base feeder I click the link to create a product feed I get this message Google Base Feeder v.1.6.14a 04.23.2008 22:34:59 started 2008/07/17 00:35:48
    Feed file - /usr/home/tmccully/public_html/cart/feed/froogle.txt_products.xml
Processing: Feed - Yes, Upload - No
Google Base File Complete In 0.141021 Seconds 0 Records there is 0 records. I have over 300 products in my store. When I had froogle before everything worked great. The way I do it is create the product feed and save it as a txt file and upload the base myself into google. I do this once a month. I really need help on this cant find the anser in the forums the website of the guy that created froogle. Without this my income will drastically lower. Again I am using Zen Cart 1.3.7 froogle version 1.6.14a

    Feed file - /usr/home/tmccully/public_html/cart/feed/froogle.txt_products.xml
First off, the newer version of Google Froogle/Base feeders are in .xml format, so in
    Admin>>Configuration>>Google Base Feeder Configuration
you should have the "Output File Name" set to "froogle" instead of "froogle.txt" as this may cause problems opening the file both on your computer and by google base.

    Second:

do you assign a product quantity to all of your products? If not, and you want the files to be included you need to change the line that says "Include Zero Quantity" to "True" in: Admin>>Configuration>>Google Base Feeder Configuration

Hope this helps put you on track... you will have to change your feed type in your Google Base account too (from .txt to .xml so it can understand your uploaded file).

I did everything you told me and i get this message after the upload
    Google Base Feeder v.1.6.14a 04.23.2008 22:34:59 started 2008/07/17 08:13:56
    Feed file - /usr/home/tmccully/public_html/cart/feed/froogle_products.xml

It is still reading no products in my store. I seen in the instructions about chmod to 777 what is that I dont understand that. I did everything right or it would not show up and attempt to work.. It is not reading my products. I created a feed file in the cart and opened it and put the feed html in there. I put all files where they belong in the store directory.

You must already have it chmod to 777 or you would be getting a different error message.

after the changes you made, the only thing left that could be causing it not to add the products to the feed would be if the SQL file didn't run right.

When installing you need to open the file named "googlefroogle.sql" you can open it in Notepad if you are running Windows on your computer (not sure what the program is called on Mac)... after opening the file you will need to copy the contents of that file (easiest way to do that on a windows machine is to press: Ctrl+a << that will select all text, then press Ctrl+c << that copies the selected text) then you need to paste that information into the box in: Admin>> Tools>> Install SQL Patches (to paste you can right click, or use Ctrl+v {you don't need to press the "+" the plus sign is just to say you have to press both at the same time}) After pasting the information into the box click the "Send" button.

If the SQL file didn't load correctly it doesn't know how to read your product files. If after doing the above it still doesn't work, I'm at a loss.

BTW, Nice website... looks real clean.

IM having the same issue, wondering if anyone has answered these questions some where else and maybe can help me with this..

If I understand this correctly, under admin>config>google base feeder....under output file name, i am to have froogle written there without the .txt or any other extension?

Then I am to go to tools>google base feeder , and then create product feed by clicking the link... when i do , i get the error message as above in this thread..

    Google Base Feeder v.1.7.0 09.019.2008 17:38:59 started 2008/11/14 20:57:48
    Feed file - /usr/home/jygoo191/public_html/shop/feed/froogle_products.xml
Processing: Feed - Yes, Upload - No
Google Base File Complete In 59.658948 Seconds 8552 Records

Then i went to my control panel , /public_html/shop/feed/ ..and i saw the file in there called froogle_products.xml

So im guessing it put it in the feed folder correctly?

Then , I went back to admin > tools>Google Base Feeder and clicked on Upload Product Feed and got this message...

    Google Base Feeder v.1.7.0 09.019.2008 17:38:59 started 2008/11/14 20:57:18
    Feed file - /usr/home/jygoo191/public_html/shop/feed/froogle_products.xml
Processing: Feed - No, Upload - Yes
    Upload started...
    Login failed:
    Connected to: uploads.google.com
    Upload failed...

SO, can anyone tell me what it is Im doing wrong? and not really sure why it says Login failed? I know that is my correct info...

    thanksssss

    Upload ok!

It was my password that was wrong for FTP, note, they are different than what you log onto google with.. that took me a while to figure out.. ANYWAY

when I go to froogle, (google) it says it failed, I am uploading about 8,600 products, also, the name I created in google was froogle_products.xml....that is the name of the file that zencart creates , it is in my feed folder I looked in my controlpanel....also in google I put the File format to XML... OR should I have put it on autodetect?

Can anyone help me any further in this process, i feel im so close...

When it fails, google usually gives you a reason for that, what does it say?
I no longer provide installation support on forum for all my modules. However, if there are real bugs with the modules please feel free to contact me
