autoreturn not working

hello I 'v been browsing a bit .. but still have not found an answer to why if I have everything well set up . the auto return from paypal is not working ...
I get a link to return to mechants site and then it works but it does not redirect automatically ..

any ideas?

Have you followed the instructions within the wiki for the return here is a direct link to the instructions

http://www.zen-cart.com/wiki/index.php/PayPal be sure everthing matches the wiki and see if it works then.

Also be sure you configured your PayPal account for IPN return settings

thank you for that .. yes I have checked and everything seems to be OK ... I get returned when paying via paypal itself but when using the option of paying by credit card on the paypal site not logging into any paypal account it just does not return me back to the sellers site

any ideas?

That's normal.
If a customer pays without a PayPal account, then at the end of the payment process, they are taken to a screen where they're asked whether they want to create a PayPal account or not. If they don't choose an option, they'll just sit there until they choose another link or close their browser.
That's PayPal's design. You'll have to contact them to ask them to make changes to how that operates.
