larger image popup to same small image

I think those are from the Image Handler 2 that my host installed on our site when he first set it up several years ago (v1.2.4). I didn't find it necessary for my purposes, so never transferred the IH2 files when upgrading, but the setting fields are still in the db.

Actually i encounter the same problem with you .
i don't install the image handle 2 ... so can i solve this problem without install it? any one can help ?

I need a little help here it's been 4 hours and there is not thread that explains the problem or has a solution. http://www.karengunna.com/k_zen/ click purses look for a purse image. click it. click 'larger image' and you'll popup to the same image. it worked before i added multiple images. THEY popup to the _lrg image but the original product doesn't. now i have batched images/a_kgunna/(small images).jpg " "/medium/(imagename)_med.jpg and " "/large/(imagename)_lrg.jpg ftp'd those two directories up and i have tried ftp'ing and just using zencart's 'add image to product' and all of the time now i click 'larger image' and get the same image. i have made NO changes to php files, only the admin and i switched back to the classic tmeplate and exactly the same thing happens. PLEASE HELP... and get this... there's no help at all in the $80 estart Zen Book!

If you have the exact same problem, then i did notice on the karengunna site the path looks like this http://www.karengunna.com/images//a_kgunna/3zip.jpg

The two slashes in the path may be the problem, this is probably through incorrectly editing the product_details template

I had the same problem with two slashes, found it was the leading slash of the image path I uploaded with easy populate ie.
/categories/Bangles/AE20081120-016.jpg
image path should be:
categories/Bangles/AE20081120-016.jpg.

Now I have a problem! my images are in
http://www.amberon.co.uk/images/cate...081120-016.jpg I have also got http://www.amberon.co.uk/images/larg...081120-016.jpg and the medium folders in place, But all my images use the main image folder not the _MED or _LRG. My product info image is only 100x100 but is set to 200x200 in configuration images page and it still uses the lge image file I have to keep in the images/categories/Bangles/ folder.
The realy weid thing is that it works perfectly on my testing server, please help!!!!

Hi all
Ive cracked it, well at least in my case.
For some reason it does not like uppercase extention .JPG this works fine for the main image but when it comes to the medium and large images it must be in lower case .jpg. Dont ask me why it must be somewhare in the code that interacts with the set up of the server as this problem is not on my testing server which has (had) the same file extensions as my live site. Is this a Bug?

I think others are having this issue as in my research theres a lot of Zen sites only using big images.

I would say the great majority of that is due to ignorance rather than uppercase file extension problems. I have seen lots who had no clue about file sizes, and quite a few who had problems following the instructions including the _XXX caps, but never saw a problem posted where the extension was uppercase.

Hi Glenn,

I agree about the ignorance as I assumed the image was resized as in other carts until the instructions were pointed out to me. It seems a strange way of doing it though and why make it case sensitive. It still leaves the question, is it a bug that on some servers the uppercase file extension is not recognised in the large and medium folders and can it be sorted for other versions? It took me very many hours to track the problem down and it would be nice to save others the pain.

Hello, I know this is a long time ago but I stumbled on this thread trying to solve the same problem. I got carried away and named my main (small) images: imagename_small.jpg

I got rid of the '_small' part and all is well following the the _MED _LRG convention. I'm not sure if this should affect it but just in case someone else is looking for something to try, there you go!

Okay, I'm getting a similar, tho not same, error. I'm positive I have the naming correct, as when I right-click on the image it SAYS it's displaying the _LRG image, but it's resizing the LRG image to 150x150. First problem with that is that the images are not square, so it's making the proportions all incorrect. The second is that it's not the large image, but the proportions thing actually bugs me more.

It had been having this problem with medium as well, but I found and fixed the size in the Admin panel, and now the mediums are fine. I cannot, however, find where to fix the LRG size. I need these images to be displaying inside a "frame" of 350x350 (aka, the pics are either 350w or 350h, but not square). What file do I need to change to correct this?

my site is www.starks-ark.com/shop-new/ Any of the "Exo-Terra" products would have their images done. I haven't gotten the photos for some of the other manufacturers uploaded yet, but I'd like to fix this before I fight with my server over another 3000 files. (that way if I have to scrap the multiple size images, I haven't spend a week uploading them.)
