Default have an issue with customers in Serbia

    Brothers and sisters,

I have a few customers in Serbia who are unable to order anything from me as the cart always gives them a missing value from country error code.

What can I do to fix this issue.

I am using: Zen Cart 1.3.8a
    Database Patch Level: 1.3.8
    v1.3.8 [2008-01-28 09:29:05] (Fresh Installation)
    v1.3.8 [2008-01-28 09:29:05] (Fresh Installation)

    I thank you.

Be well, train hard and heal quickly

"where" do you see that error?

They said they get that code invalid country name in the postal module. Though they claim their addresses are real. It seems the module is not recognizing them for some reason.

    Help...

Then you'll need to figure out what's wrong with your postal module.

Since I can't guess which postal module you're using, I can't help you.

Also, if your customers are complaining about something on your site, the first thing you should do is try to recreate the exact same problem. Otherwise you'll never know if their complaint is due to an error, or from a mistake they're making. Plus, if you do something to "fix" it, you need to know what it was doing "before" and "after" your "fix".
So, that means you'll need to get that customer's information from them and try to simulate the problem yourself before trying to fix it.

go to admin > modules > shipping .

see which of your shipping module has been installed.
you can tell by green or yellow icon under sort .

you can also go trough checkout as customer and see what shipping information will be displayed in your shopping cart .

if you selling products online , it is very important to configure all aspect of your store. such as zone, tax, shipping , etc.. before offering products /services to customers.

zen cart by defalult activates flat rate shipping. if you wish to use that module , you need to configure it to suite your need.

Also go to admin>locations/taxes>countries and check and see if Serbia is listed in the country codes. I know its not in one of my 1.3.8a installs by default. Serbia would be RS (alpha-2) and SRB (alpha-3)
