Music Store Help

Im looking for something similiar, I need a script or module that makes it easy to make MP3 albums en masse

Hi,

I am new to using zen cart an I was looking to setup an online music store in which you can purchase individual songs and download them. I set up a sample store to play around with and I'm wondering what the best way to set up the song list for each album is.

you can see I put up a sample product. I have a little understanding of the option names and values and I managed to make 1 song so far that can be purchased and downloads fine. I'm just wondering what would be the best way to add songs because I don't think that making an option value and linking it to a name and then doing a product attribute is going to be good for managing a lot of albums.

If anyone knows a better way to make track listings in zen cart please let me know and all help is appreciated, thank you in advance

Also would there be a way to just have the value without the name (like the meaning in tragedy without the track 1)?

Example:

Genre
Artist
Album Title
Image of Album
Tracklist
Price
Download link ? Text hyperlink? Check box? Option Box ?

You must purchase full album not individual tracks?

With some clear info and description I can then picture it to know how I would go about building.

Im just about finished w a custom script that does this. Only I cannot for the life of me make the media manager work!!! AAAAAHHHH. The thing is, I need to automate all of this, the file upload, the database table inserts, the linking fields etc.. All pretty easy, except the media manager preview... I'm really frustrated...
Let me know if you still need to import 190 Products, I can help.

When you complete your Custom script it would be great if you contributed this to Zen Cart Mods section as this would be very useful for many.

I actually managed to figure it out, I just left one of the attribute fields blank

I certainly will! If you know php, I could just send it to you, it doesn't actually modify any of the existing zen cart files! I just put it into it's own folder outside of the web root. Oh, and it even sets up the media manager preview now! Sweet. Yeah, I forgot to set my Category as Music... pretty obvious!
