yes, cleared the cache. but it took only a second or less, is that normal? nevertheless, does not solve the problem.
@tophand: checked titles, but all clean as well.
oh and some more information on the configuration I'm running:
Zen Cart 1.3.8a
PHP 4.49 (could that be the problem???)
MySQL 4.1
No thats not normal. If you are on a shared sever it should have took a little bit more time than that. I would go to your sever and check the bmz_cache and make sure it is set to 777. Check and see if you have anything in there, if not then the problem is somewhere else.
That shouldn't make any difference with this module but I would upgrade if you can. Most severs give you an option in c panel under File Extension or your server may use a different language but it is their. Switch to the extension php5. Check under your store admin/tools/Server Information and make sure GD librariesoh and some more information on the configuration I'm running:

or ImageMagick are installed. Let me know.

the bmz_cache folder is full, folders ranging from 0 to 9 and a to f and in those folders all the image files...
GD libraries are installed.
I mean the weird thing is that this problem is only on some of the products I recently added, not all of them. This is what confuses me the most.
thanks for your support so far!

ok, tried to clear the cache a couple times through the admin interface, but doesn't seem to work. the bmz_cache folder still contains 16 folders with each having around 300 files in there.
tried to clear it manually (just renamed the original bmz_cache dir and created a new one) but this way, the shop uses the original full-sized images and just downscales them. is that normal? shouldn't IH2 create the resized images of the requested images automatically and put them in the bmz_cache directory?
Does anyone know how to apply the IH2 maximum image size setting to the main image as opposed to just the additional images?
