Image Handler 2 (for ZC v1.3.8 ONLY) Support

I would go to your sever and check the bmz_cache and make sure it is set to 777. Check and see if you have anything in there, if not then the problem is somewhere else.

the bmz_cache folder is full, folders ranging from 0 to 9 and a to f and in those folders all the image files...

Check under your store admin/tools/Server Information and make sure GD libraries
or ImageMagick are installed. Let me know.

GD libraries are installed.

I mean the weird thing is that this problem is only on some of the products I recently added, not all of them. This is what confuses me the most.

If your cache is working right and you cleared it you shouldn't have all those images there that fast. Clear it 2 or 3 time and check. ummm something weird going on. Have you installed any new module before you insert new products to your store?

ok, tried to clear the cache a couple times through the admin interface, but doesn't seem to work. the bmz_cache folder still contains 16 folders with each having around 300 files in there.

tried to clear it manually (just renamed the original bmz_cache dir and created a new one) but this way, the shop uses the original full-sized images and just downscales them. is that normal? shouldn't IH2 create the resized images of the requested images automatically and put them in the bmz_cache directory?

Do this, go to your store admin/tools/image_handler/admin and click where it says Remove Image Handler from database. After that re-install it the same way. Clear your cache and see if that helps any. If not we can work on other things.

tried that, but still, the problem persists. what other things do you have in mind?

Just to explain again, I have all my main images uploaded at 700px wide by 1050px high. Which in hindsight is too large for most screens.

So, I set IH2 in admin to IH large image maximum width 550 and
IH large image maximum height 825.

Now, when I click on additional images, they open at the 550x825 dimensions. HOWEVER, when I click on the main product image, it is still coming up as 700x1050.

Anyone know why the additional images are obeying the IH2 admin settings, but the main image is not?
