Agreed... to manually resize with infranviw or I like Fotosizer is a better solution because then you can catalog your files before upload and not waste as much time uploading a huge image just to have the server convert it down... but beasley is right and it's the same reason I have asked about this many times. Some people just aren't that savy but can use Zen quite well. To them it's more difficult to resize and then upload those.
Now, I am on the same page as you guys with all this but from a technical standpoint IH2 should be able to handle very large images and resize them easily since it uses the php module imagemagick to do the resizing. Imagemagick is VERY powerful and reizing is just one of it's abilities (see php man page here: http://us3.php.net/manual/en/book.imagick.php). So I am wondering if someone who is familiar wth IH2's coding could tell us what EXACTLY it's limitiations are so we can know and then even maybe build it to be better?
